Read aloud function - audio connected Greek Bible NA27/28 etc not working
When, for instance, I have NA27 or NA28 (to have the Greek read) or ESV or any other stand-alone connected audio book and want them to be read aloud it no longer does so. The connection seems to be broke whereas it worked before - ie the cursor followed each word read.
However, if I open the audio (for the Greek it is John Schwandt. (2009). The Audio Greek New Testament. Bellingham, WA: Logos Bible Software.) directly from the library it works on its own but has no connection to the book.
Any other book that does not have an associated audio works fine with read aloud and the computer voice.
This is an important function for me as I like to hear as well as read all books but especially the Greek Bible.

For clarification: There are very few "read aloud" resources with this feature. The audio book in Logos does not imply this functionality is present.
ESV
The ESV does have this feature, but internet is required. There is also a setting which must be turned on. I just tried it and it works. However, the word by word indicator has either changed or isn't working right on my installation (Mac). The indicator is currently a very subtle black dot.
NA27 or NA28
As far as I know, this feature is not available for these resources.

This is the expected behavior for most audiobooks. I have no idea about this specific one.

Unfortunately your reply has not helped in the slightest. The functionality IS available in the resources mentioned (NA27/28 and ESV) but is not working at present in any of these. And the internet is not a problem. It is always on and very fast.
Why answer if you do not have an answer? This just distracts from someone who does.

Did you turn it on? Make sure "show word by word indicator" is checked in the ESV resource menu. If you have it checked, and it is still not working, please provide logs.

Can you go into your resource support info and copy the Resource ID (you can use the shortcut SHIFT+CMD+I and copy the info at the bottom? I am not able to reproduce this, and I want to make sure I'm checking the right versions of the resource. Can you confirm what version of the app you are using and what OS version you are running?

For the record, it does not appear on mine, although I have no use for the feature and don't know if it ever did or did not. I assume that my previous purchases (base packages) or my FC Connect subscription would provide access.

Can you confirm what version of the app you are using and what OS version you are running?
I do not know if I have access to the right resources and datasets, but it does not work for me. I am running L9.8 SR-1 on macOS 11.6.

Thank you to everyone who has tried to resolve this. My log files revealed the problem was with my Windows Media Player. I did not realise 1) Logos needs it in order to work this function on a Windows computer. 2) I had recently uninstalled it because it was corrupted - and this despite I use other apps for my music and sound files. I'd love it if this was not a condition of using WMP on Logos.
I need to do a fresh install, I think, of Windows as you cannot download WMP anymore as it comes preloaded. Unless someone can find another solution for an app I really dislike or find a way to reinstall without refreshing the whole Windows installation this would be much appreciated.

It's an optional feature of Windows that can be removed or installed via Windows Settings.
