BUG: Passage & Exegetical Guide don't show up in Factbook "See also" anymore

Try this: (Verbum on iPad for me):
1. Bring up Factbook from bottom icon
2. Type Jn1.1
3. Select what is probably the 7th entry down, "Gospel of John"
4. Expand the "See Also" section -
In that section, under Guides, it only shows Topic Guide. I am sure it used to show the Passage Guide and Exegetical Guide, and I don't see a way to get to them easily from within the mobile factbook. This same behavior seems to happen no matter what verse(s) you are looking at, only the Topic Guide shows up in "Guides".
NOTE: The same thing happens on Verbum/Mac desktop. Should I cross-post this bug?

We have not chosen to display Passage and Exegetical guides for the Factbook pages for an entire book. They should show up on the individual pericope pages, such as "The Word Becomes Flesh" (enter John 1 or another reference).

Thanks Andrew, but something isn't right. This example, why I used it in this post, is exactly out of Morris Proctor's Mobile Ed training - as you can see from this picture, as of Nov 1 it DID include these guides, and now it changed to remove them. Isn't that much less helpful to not have all the relevant guides for Jn 1.1 to show (Desktop and Mobile)? Why was it changed to not consider "See Also -- Guides -- ALL the relevant guides"?? (BTW this is very frustrating and not the first time the FL group decided to make some arbitrary small change that really does seem to be a "takeaway" from the user perspective.)

Your most recent screenshot is from the Factbook page for the John 1:1-2 pericope. In your original post, you indicate that you selected "Gospel of John", which is the Factbook page for the entire book of John, not the pericope.

Try pasting this url in the Go box: https://ref.ly/logos4/Factbook?ref=bible.64.1.1-64.1.2
Here's what I see in the application for that page. As you can see, we've added a new guide link, not taken any away.

Andrew, this behavior has changed. I have taken a small video of my screen showing what MP did. He typed Jn1.1, then he clicked on Gospels, the book, just like I said int he first book here. And, then both guides show up in the See Also section. I put this in my Dropbox as it's a 12MB MP4...

I can not explain what MP is showing. You can clearly see at the 8 second mark that he is selecting the Factbook page with a title of "Gospel of John" with subtitles of "Biblical Writing", "Books", and "Gospel". And yet, when the page comes up at the 15 second mark, it's the factbook page with a different title ("The Word John"), different subtitles ("Biblical Pericope"), and a reference that is a subset of John rather than the entire book.
When you select the "Gospel of John" option, you should be able to see that the Factbook page has a title and subtitles that match what you have selected. In in fact, if you instead type in "the word john" and select the option with that name, you will see the page that shows in his video. In fact, you can see in the video that the third item down in the list of suggestions is "The Word John", which is the page which ends up being displayed.
Either MP edited his video to insert a different page that demonstrated something better for his purposes, or he managed to record a bug that displayed the wrong page for the item he selected (I don't recall seeing any other bug reports for such behavior). There might be another explanation, but I'm at a loss.
The item in the list of suggestions that is highlighted definitely does not correspond to the page that is ultimately displayed. The title in the suggestion will always match the title on the page, and the subtitles will generally match as well, although there are some subtleties there.

OK. But to have the Factbook not present other Guides just because I selected a book of the Gospel is not at all intuitive. You can either use the Factbook to explore, and move on to other tools, or you cannot. I have yet to hear a reason why there is a distinction between picking John and picking John 1:1-2 (recognizing that John 1:1 will fail also, depending on what the user selects).
I hope when the effort comes to make the app more intuitive and consistent (per the survey that came out), things like this will be looked at from a user perspective. It just so smacks of developers making decisions on what technically makes sense or is easier. "Not a bug". Got it.

I would be happy to pass along a request to our designers to display links to the Passage and Exegetical guides on Factbook pages for whole Bible books.
I suspect it was left out of the original design because it typically leads the user to a poor experience, as the Guide sections tend to be very slow in generating results.

In my experience, a passage guide run on the entire Gospel of John is basically useless for any tasks beyond determining how many commentaries one has that cover at least part of that gospel.
