Needing Help!
Greetings!
I am not at all good at using Verbum and would like some help! Now, before anyone directs me to the Help within Verbum, I have to confess that I don't really understand it (my fault, not Verbum's!). I would just like to very occasionally talk to someone on the phone who would be willing to do a screen share with me and talk me through an answer to my question.
Now I realise that most people would be too busy to help but there might be someone who is, like myself, retired and therefore would be able and willing to help. I am living in Vienna, Austria but the time difference with someone say from the USA could be managed!
Thank you and God bless,
Father Kevin (fatherkevinjoseph@icloud.com)

Welcome to the forums. Have you watched the videos provided at Logos Training – Logos Help Center - some are for an earlier version and they all use Logos rather than Verbum but that doesn't matter. The Verbum training by Fr. Devin is very good but it costs a fair amount. I'd be glad answer you questions either here or at My Faithlife - Faithlife. Verbum is intimidating but not difficult once you understand a few basic principles.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I am sorry but as I mentioned, I cannot really understand the Logos Training offered! Would you be able and willing to set up a screen share?
Thank you.

Tell me the first thing that you want to do in Verbum and I will show you how to do it.

I am sorry but apparently I cannot reply to your latest email! It seems I have to answer here. My question is "Are you able and willing to set up a screen share and then I could show you what I am trying to do!"

I don't know how to set up a screen share and at the moment, I don't have the time to figure it out. Can you take a screen shot and include it in the post using the paper clip icon?

I'm sorry. I don't mean to be rude or unhelpful, but I am not willing to link my personal computer to the computer of a stranger. I think others might be hesitant to do that, too.
I am willing to help you here, as much as that is possible.

On the Verbum home page under the explore section click in the gear shaped item on right side of the screen. Click on Verbum Training Videos. That will activate a card labeled “Ver 9 class”
The first two are “Welcome to Verbum” a three minute overview and “Getting Started” a thirty minute class in moving around in Verbum.
[Yes, maybe you feel that you do not need that level of introduction BUT those lessons will give you trust in the teachers for the latter lessons]
Then come back here with questions ie. exactly where do you need more help? There are some, for sale, other training videos.
[Not sure what level of Verbum one needs to use these training videos.]

Here's a YouTube playlist from a catholic priest and seminary professor that is teaching his students the basics of Verbum: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCnL7qGAq1M&list=PLzpu0Auhls9MVDZE2dDte0Se83uzn7JwI
Maybe those would be helpful to you.

For me, Verbum 360 videos were included with either Verbum Basic or Verbum Fundamentals. I am sorry that I cannot remember which package. But either way, they are free at youtube.

There are more advanced training videos included in some of the legacy libraries as well as Verbum 9 packages.
Verbum Silver 8 Legacy library is the cheapest way for me to get the advanced homiletics and searching videos and is at the top of my wishlist for that reason.

Thank you Kathleen Marie, it would be my computer that you would see not vv. And I promise nobody would catch anything in doing so!!!! Anyone who is fearful could simply contact the Cardinal Archbishop here to vouch for me 'a stranger'.
Peace!
Father Kevin.

Thank you Kiyah, but I think I mentioned earlier that I am not very clever at following Videos - my 'fault' not anyone else's!
Still hoping that I can find someone who would be able and willing to do a screen share!
Peace!

Maybe it'd help finding a screen-share'r, if you outlined what you're thinking. First, screen share is a wide open world (which one, safe?, etc). As an example, we'd go strictly thru Apple products. Second, time consuming? As another example, survey people call for a short survey ... and an hour later, ...
I'd also assume, it'd be a nice subscription offered by FL.
I'd happily help, but I'm on L7/offline (not an excuse!). Ergo, questions and screen copies for me.

The folks at Logos Daily offer 1 to 1 coaching for Logos/Verbum users. Maybe check them out:

have you tried going very slow. One small step at a time. In some ways that way will be similar to someone working beside you.
when you get lost back up the tape and try again. Don't understand - back up the tape and try again. They are good teachers.
really lost? List the tape with time stamp and ask us for help!

TRY 2: What do you want to do: Hopefully something simple to start. and lets see if one of us can give you something close to a key stroke by key stoke how to at least get started on how to do it. Then, if we can, we will try to show where one of the training videos did the same thing.
Maybe, over several questions, we can help get you started with the videos.

Thank you Kiyah, I think this is what I personally was looking for.
