I miss Libronix Atlas...we need better map tools in Logos
Is there anything in Logos currently that is anything like the old Atlas? I miss being able to pick cities that I want and plot them and show a topographical map. Why did that go away? That was such an amazing tool that I loved...but unfortunately no computer I have runs something that old (even though it seems far superior to anything Logos offers now in the way of maps). I just want to be able to show Philippi, Thyatira, Caesarea, Rome, and Ephesus all in one map...and I can't find that.

I agree Chad, Parsons Technology had a similar product at the time for Quick Verse users. They were 16-bit applications that the tech world has passed by and left behind. I don't know the specific reason, so I won't speculate and instead just remiss with you about an application which provided things today's 'Altas' does not.

I doubt they're going to do another atlas-round. As a company, I think they're on #3 or #4, depending on how you count. But in theory, seems like it wouldn't be that hard internally to send an Atlas map to Canvas for editing, etc
Personally, I like Accordance mapping, even if maybe a bit less sophisticated. You can overlay multiple mappings (eg a modern with a Saul map). Do 3D visuals to illustrate travel issues. And edit the maps with places, routes, and even add images for the kids (or the adults, of course).

I haven't explored A company's mapping a lot but have recently beefed up what I do have in terms of their Graphics offering so need to explore that further as I do think they do it better but need to test that belief out to confirm it, for what I want anyway.

I especially like the 3D, I guess because we hike a lot, and back then, Saul's jeep needed feeding. And chariots need flat-land. But it's like the old Libby 3D but prettier. Sorry, Libby.
My main 'never use it' for the Logos atlas, is repeated lack of surrounding context. Then, at least on my new MBP, and my iPad Mini, there's the mysterious (and useless) legend.

Talking about the Atlas tool, one of my main challenges is Logos issues with the internet. I have now a stable and fast internet connection (was not always the case), but still get the following message quite frequently:
Probably not your cause, but in our case, it's our VPN re-connecting, relative to Verizon's fake-5g, when the tourists are chewing up bandwidth. Not an expert on what happens next, but whatever it is, the FL servers come loose first.

Chad,
I agree completely and have been asking for something like the old atlas for years. https://community.logos.com/forums/p/187145/1081607.aspx#1081607
I do not even attempt to use the current atlas any longer as it does not provide the flexibility, graphing, 3-D function, etc. Back in the Camp Logos on Whidbey Island (in 1.6-2.0 days), they told us they were in the process of updating the atlas, but it went by the wayside.
I do not think something like this would be difficult to bring back.
