Commentary Bible Version for a PB
I have a project in mind to create a Personal book from the individual commentaries of a series. For example I have the entire WBC where each author provides their own translation and copious footnotes. If you were to create your own "WBC Version" how would you go about it? I understand the syntax, I'm only trying to avoid the grunt work.
I have been handy with Excel before when needed and could explore options there, but I would also like to ensure the footnotes make it into the final PB.

Personally, my tact is to keep pushing Logos to resolve this problem despite knowing why it is not easy for them. Vote at Make Bible translations within commentaries and monographs accessible | Faithlife

In the meantime, I would still appreciate anyone who might have a streamlined process of creating their own.
EDIT: Found out this neato trick that maybe some of ya'll would like. After pasting in a single chapter from Wenham's commentary I do a Find/Replace in Word
Find: ^#
Replace: {{field-off:Bible}} [[@bible:Genesis 1:^&]] [[^&|bible:Genesis 1:^&]]{{field-on:Bible}}
^# finds any number.
The replace command takes whatever was found (e.g. 1) and uses that result to replace the ^& you can see within the string.
It's not perfect - you have to change the chapter number for each section and trim up the ends of the chapter but it is working smoothly so far.

Morgan.... Appreciate you sharing your find. I am also working on trying to make things easier to edit docx files to make Personal Books. I'm trying to put it in a macro vbs in Word.... My problem is two fold.... 1. Time... there's just not enough time... 2. Learning all the in's and out's of making vbs work with the acronyms of Word.
But... eventually....
