Design question (slides)

When you put a service together, do you try to have all of the slides (preservice, music and sermon) with the same backgrounds? I ask because we used Proclaim for the first time on Sunday and two people mentioned this to me......I admit I am not the most artsy person.
What is your practice?

I have been using Proclaim since its first release. I always use the same settings for the onscreen bible. I always use a plain (Red) background for bible slides. I tend to pick a theme and apply it to all the songs. I keep the background in the sermon slides fairly constant.
Some of that is so that people have a visual clue as to where we are in the service. Some of it is to make sure the words are the focus. Beware of pictorial backgrounds you don't want to hear what I heard early on... "I spent the whole hymn wondering where that photo was taken".
Use the KISS principle.

My brother once attended a funeral where one photo was used extensively. He kept wondering where it was ...perhaps, the deceased's native land? Nope, it was the deceased's favorite golf course. [:D]
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thanks everyone. I "think" I have this week with put together with a bit more continuity......
On this topic. Who subscribes to a Pro Media subscription? Do you find it helpful? I had a hard time selling Proclaim to our worship team, I don't think I can add a subscription
It would be nice if they included more backgrounds.....

I subscribe to Pro Media but I don't think is the best value for money about. Unfortunately they started with good intentions but missed a trick when they 'hard baked' very restrictive text onto what would be otherwise very useful backgrounds. The provided slides are very parochial and only suitable for a small subset of church denominations in an, admittedly large, section of the world.
We occasionally have a vague promise to do better but little evidence. The 'suggested media' shows little cognisance of either the standard lectionaries nor of the church year.
I also subscribe to a service that allows me to either download a plain back ground or add text in the design font for standard service units like 'prayer', 'offering', 'blessing', etc; or add my own text and download a custom slide. You might be wise to seek out such a provider.
