Request: Expand or Collapse TOC
I believe I've posted something like this before.... but I cannot find it...
As it is now.... the TOC remembers how it was that function was closed.... and as such... if all the say (using the Bible as example only) "chapters of the Bible" were expanded then one has to weed through them all to quickly go to one book, chapter. etc. ( I know we can type Book chapter verse and go there in the Bible... but just using this as example)...
I would like to change the TOC of every library, book, search, guides, notes and any other place there is a TOC in Logos.... I would like an easy way to Expand and Collapse the TOC.... And I propose that the "less than (<) and the "greater than (>)" characters be used.... add these characters to the menu of the TOC and then we could just "click on" less than or greater then to collapse or expand the TOC.....
It may have been suggest for voting on... but I didn't find it. I'll wait a bit... if someone knows that it is suggest to be voted on.... I'll vote....

In another Software you can expand collapse all by pressing alt/option. I requested this earlier.
BTW I have made a similar request. Like it is in Word. There you can choose which level you want. I'm too lazy to search the request, but if you are interested you will find it.

I agree whole heartily! But.... apparently (????) FL looks at the voting of suggestions and works on the most voted (definite maybe on this)...

To me, the most self-evident projects are:
- n-tuples in the Concordance tool
- ability to set books to use their default choice of translations, not mine [yes, this is impractically available in prioritization)
- straightening out the mess made of liturgical dates
For me the collapse/expand TOC is something that would be nice to have but it gains me nothing in my studies.
THAT is why you need to vote for the feature.

With over 1000 chapters in the Bible, it is conceivable, if not likely, that you could have all of those chapters showing in the TOC. More realistically, if I have opened a number of books in the Bible during my study, I end up having to scroll excessively to find the scripture I am looking for or having to stop to close all the chapters that are showing in the TOC. In either case, sometimes I lose my train of thought. A simple button to reset the TOC would help in my Bible study. I have voted for it and hope that others that would find it helpful would do so as well.
