Faithlife Hacked? Suspicious Email

It could have come from my end as well but I got an email today from:
E42 (Jessica.Alfonso at faithlife dot com) though the email address actually goes to system@sent-via.netsuite.comΒ
Title: FL Customer Sales - Discount Item
Contains an xls document that I'm obviously not going to open with text of "Attached are the results of your search"
Just FYI

Me too. I checked the XLS document, and it is corrupted and definitely a virus. I forwarded the email to cs@logos.com.Β

I just got this same email too. I forwarded to tech support and asked if it's legit. Probably not but we'll see...

Maybe. I tried to log on to the forum ... I normally never log on. It said it wanted a captcha. Which it didn't. Then, it wanted an email confirm. So, I ran it thru my iPad filtering to confirm. Didn't like that!Β

I just got this same email too.
Same here - my provider sorted this out as spam, I just deleted it.

I received the same email. Don't open the attachment. I think it's prudent to change faithlife passwords too.

Also received, deleted, and reported as spam.

I have also received this email. Have not tried to open as it looked suspicious.

Please disregard this e-mail. It was mass distributed from NetSuite in error. We are working with NetSuite support to resolve.

I saw this too and came to the same conclusion.
Apart from now seeing that it is going to a lot of Faithlife customers I wasn't at all sure it was anything to do with them as they don't tend to refer to themselves as FL.

It opened in outlook in my browser, it is just a record of the purchase I made using the 2% coupon in february.
She is an accountant, so probably just an admin error in netsuite (a business software package) that emailed everyone while she was collating data or something.

Ahh, and here I thought I was valuable enough to be the target of a phishing scam. ;D

Are you a legit Faithlife employee? After all, your post count is only at number 1. Β Weβre being followed, run! πππ Just kidding!
I still wonβt open the file, though. Thanks for confirming this was a mistake and not a phishing scam.

I deleted it, unopened.

The green flame icon just under the post count indicates a Faithlife employee. Initially Jessica's account did not have this marked, but we got that added a little later, so it's there now.

With your post count of 1, Jessica, we need to welcome you to the forums where we normally discuss Faithlife products rather than NetSuite.[;)] But under the circumstances, we'll make an exception for you. And if you are new to Faithlife, welcome to the community.

I figured you did, but others might not know, especially since one reading of you post would indicate you were kidding about the "being followed, run" part rather than the question.Β [:D]

Thank you Jessica. Appreciate knowing.
Since it was sent from another domain (NetSuite), I assumed someone had spoofed the Logos part with a fake user. It's helpful to know how it happened. Appreciated.

I forwarded the email customer service as soon as I received it. I got this response:
Thank you for contacting us. I apologize for the email you received. This was an error on one of our systems in which it sent out automatic emails to several users and attaching an Excel file.
We have received reports of this and it is being resolved. Please disregard the email and delete it to prevent any further confusion.
We appreciate your patience and comprehension.
