Logos Daily new app/website - Seeking Catholic members
I'm sure lots of you are familiar with the Logos Daily team which is active on social media such as Facebook, Youtube, Reddit, etc. I've been following their Facebook pages (eg Logos Tips and Tricks) for some time, and the leaders of this project really do try to maintain a positive environment. They recently decided to move all of their pages under the umbrella of a new app/website and it looks pretty cool. It's purpose is to build community while supporting each other in using Logos Bible Software. There are different membership levels (one of which is free). I came on here to invite some Catholics and Catholic-supportive folks to the community to help shape it into a more inclusive space for us. Click this link to learn more:

What is the relationship between Logos Daily and Faithlife Corp? And given the very evangelical flavor of the Facebook group, what features/topics are envisioned to support the liturgical (e.g. Catholic) church members?

MJ, these are really good questions. Their focus is primarily on helping others learn to use Logos. That being said, there is a definite evangelical Protestant mindset in the commentary, especially among members. Leadership seems to try to shift people into respectful dialogue, but many of the members make comments that are not inclusive towards, and sometimes downright hostile towards Catholicism. The reason I came on here to encourage others to check it out is that I do see value in the software-learning aspects of the program. It has made me a better Verbum user. I think it's a nice place to share ideas that is similar to this forum, but in some ways more accessible. Ultimately probably the main reason I shared it is because I don't want to feel so alone on there! I'm curious, with you having been on the Facebook page, do you see any value in this new iteration of the group?
As far as your first question, Logos Daily is not affiliated with Faithlife. It was founded by an individual, but has expanded to include a team of coaches. A couple of them have actually gotten jobs at Faithlife since being a part of Logos Daily, so there is a little overlap. This is what they say about themselves:
"We are a dedicated and curious community of Logos users designer to build relationships with those on the same path so that we can efficiently “level up” our study of God’s Word.
Founded by experienced Logos users, we're here to keep you from spending hours making sense of your prized Bible software. Ask questions and get answers quick from real people who are everyday users – not from video tutorials or long how to articles.
Welcome to the most helpful circle of Logos Bible Software users that you can find on the internet – welcome to the Logos Daily Circle. Unlock the entire community of helpful groups and training courses by become a member today."

I wish you luck but am not willing to pay to participate although I do "drop in" to paid training occasionally to see what is being taught. I exceed my recommended daily intake for evangelical theology in the forums, I fear adding another would stress my patience which seems to be less regulated after the hermitage of Covid. However, if you need specifically Catholic/Orthodox/liturgical advice, do drop in here.

Hey Angela, where did you see that they're seeking Catholic members?
I've been a part of the FB group and the Circle since before it was launched and I've never seen anything along those lines. While the userbase is super welcoming and I don't think Catholics would get a lot of flak, I don't view it as very "Catholic welcoming". It's definitely a protestant/evangelical group. I've never met a Catholic on there at least, but it's not like I know everyone or everything, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
While I don't think there's anything wrong with sharing an affiliate link on here, and I encourage everyone to at least sign up for the free 2 month trial, I think it's a bit deceitful to say they're "looking for Catholics".
MJ just something to consider, it has multiple groups, one of them is the Open Mic which is really the only allowable place to discuss theology, and the rest is supposed to be only about the software, you'd be a very valuable addition to the group with your experience, and may provide some balance to the "evangelical bias" I was talking about before. I know I get a lot from some of your comments on the forums and I'd love to hear your answers to some questions there. You'd be able to filter out any (most I should say) of the evangelical talk by just not joining or subbing to that group. Please consider clicking the link Angela posted and look around a bit, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!0 -

I have participated some in the Facebook group and found it to be a mixed bag. I may be prejudice but I have tried at least 5 of the Logos training programs/sites and find I learn the most from Fr. Devin and Morris P. I am not one who seeks out training - I learn by jumping in and seeing what happens -- and using documentation/the forums when I get stuck. I have other projects of greater importance to me at this time than Logos Circle.

I tried to find this in Angela's write up. I thought she was pretty even handed, and did the 'looking' herself. I guess I'm wondering what gives? You don't want Catholics? Or just MJ?

Hey Frank, I can see how the title of my thread may be confusing, so I apologize for my lack of clarity! I didn't mean to imply that the leaders of Logos Daily are specifically requested Catholic people to join. They have asked people to share the link to our various communities. It's me myself that is hoping to get more Catholic voices on there!

DMB I was referring to the title.
Angela, that makes more sense. Thanks for the clarity. I think it'd be cool to get some non-evangelical voices on there as well. I'm in agreement on that. I misread your intention on the title, and I apologize.0 -
Hey no problem! Thanks [:)]
