Verbum 10 Web App: Quotation Finder in Homily Builder
This feature appears not to be present in the Verbum-branded web app (I haven't checked the Desktop app). I went to Homily Builder (there is no Sermon Builder) and the icon being pointed to (which appears in the post to the right of the clock icon) doesn't exist (I have Verbum 10 Diamond):
Of course it's possible this is not available in Verbum because they may not have compiled a list of "Catholic" quotes like they did non-Catholic quotes (based on the livestream I listened to).

Did you purchase the Verbum 10 package or just the library?

The receipt shows "Verbum 10 Diamond", and I paid a pretty penny for it. I'm not sure what it would mean to purchase "just the library"? Which library would it be?

The Verbum 10 Diamond library. As opposed to a Verbum 10 Diamond base package, which would also include the Verbum 10 Full Feature Set.

The "Sermon Builder Popular Quotations Sidebar" feature is available with Logos packages, but is not included in the Verbum packages.

I'm confused because I see it in Verbum - is this because I have purchased some Logos features?
Yes.

Can I please ask why it isn't available in Verbum? Is it planned to be available at a later date?
Feeling like the poor relation...

Listening to the launch video, it sounded like the corpus of quotes were drawn from Protestant pastors and preachers. To make the feature useful for Catholics, they would have to compile a similar corpus of Catholic quotes. They probably figured that most Catholic priests (who would use the Homily Builder) would not care to draw from a Protestant corpus, and made a decision to de-prioritize the feature. Just my guess though as a customer.

I agree Eric - I suspect there are two components: the coding logic and the quote database or index.
Incorporating the coding logic should be an easy port (you would think...) and the Catholic quote database could (should?) be built / expanded over time.

yes I hope for catholic Quotes very much, because I think that would be great help, when you just need good quotes. Hope it will come soon. When I saw this feature on Logos video, I was so happy. The Quotes feature, was one of the reason why I upgraded to Verbum 10

Verbum 10 Web App is a powerful tool for finding quotations in homilies. It allows users to quickly search for relevant quotes from the Bible, Church Fathers, and other sources. The app also provides a variety of filters to narrow down the search results. Users can also save their favorite quotes for easy access later. Verbum 10 Web App is a great resource for homilists, preachers, and anyone looking for inspiration from the Word of God.
