We're on Logos 10, yet this problem has persisted for me since 2007 or 2008.

Looking at your previous posts ... you go all the way back to Libby, and her HTML limitations.
So:
- You're on a recent home/work Surface; you specifically allow Logos thru the Windows firewall
- Best I can see, synchronization even an issue back to L4, but more issues recently
Then (parden the questions, if already):
- Is it only sync'ing? Do any of the web-required Logos functions work? On mine, only first login works during day (any web function)
- Horrors to ask, but have you tried, without virus/firewall blocking?
- Given on-going so long, have you tried logging Logos?

Thanks for responding.
I have experienced no problems with the web links or web features from within the desktop app. I've tried the firewall thing in the past, but I could try again. Using my laptop without a firewall is not even an option for me, so I'm loathe to try that.
I have sent logs to Logos in the past, and one time they said it was due to some bad data in my online library or something, and they said they could fix it on their end, but it didn't work.
It's not a huge issue, mainly an irritation now that I'm using an Android tablet more often, and it would be nice to have my layouts and stuff synced. Like now, I've got seven or eight commentaries open all linked together for a message I'm putting together. I do a lot of initial reading on the tablet, then I switch to the laptop to actually start writing my message.
It's not a major deal to re-open and re-link everything, but since Logos is supposed to do that for me, it is an irritation.0 -

I used the instructions from https://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging#How_do_I_get_a_diagnostic_log.3f

The logs indicate a problem with synching a reading pan - but don't identify which one
Do you have many active reading plans?

I don't have any reading plans going at the moment. Here is my home screen on mobile.
Just double-checking - as reading plans don't necessarily appear on the homepage.
If you go into the Docs menu on your desktop and filter by Reading Plan do you see any entries?

I have been having this problem too but not as long. I was told "We are aware of the problem" but I have not gotten any other responses.

It's quite possible Kevin that you are getting the same error message for a totally different reason. I recommend starting a new thread and posting logs.

There was one plan that was finished. I deleted it. I'll check on my desktop later to see if that makes a difference.
If you have no Reading Plans on desktop (in the Docs menu) and "Read 131 Christians..." is the only one on Mobile it seems logical that this is the cause of the sync error on desktop. Removing it should fix the error which implies it has no Readings.

That fixed it! Deleting that reading plan allowed the desktop to synchronize.
"If you have no Reading Plans on desktop (in the Docs menu)..."
Both of the messages previously from my mobile device. I hadn't checked the desktop for the reading plan, so I don't know if it was showing up there or not. But deleting it from the documents tab on my mobile device apparently did the trick!
Thanks everyone for helping clear this up. One less irritation is a good thing!0 -
I have this problem all the time on my mac though it is not persistant. There are days that there are no errors and some days the sync error shows up. Not sure the cause as Logos seems to drop the internet for some reason whereas network connectivity works everywhere else.
Rebooting almost always fixes it.
