Is there a way to turn off auto save notes in mobile app? It auto saves after each letter, so there is a delay between each letter as I type.
Hi Dominick
Do you mean saving locally or to the Logos Cloud?
If the former there is no mechanism to do this, if the latter you could potentially ensure your device was not connected to a network (so probably not a practical solution).
But what sort of delays are you seeing - and on which mobile device?
I've just tried entering a note on my iPad and there is no perceptible delay at all. What sort of delay are you experiencing?
Graham
Hi Graham thanks for getting back to me so soon.
I don't know where it's trying to save it as I never specified, I did not know there was a way to save locally or to the Logos Cloud I assumed it was saved to the Logos Cloud.
Just tried it again and seems to work quicker.
I have a smart phone Moto e play (Android 8.0.0) and a RCA tablet (Android 8.1.0)
Both have the problem sometimes. Just as I type I see the notice saying "saving..." before I can type the next letter.
If there is a way to bypass that step that would be nice.
Thank You.
HI Dominick
Sorry for the lack of clarity in my previous response. There isn't actually any mechanism to specify - I was just wondering if you had any idea as to whether the problem was local or network-related.
The basic process is that notes are saved on the local device and then automatically synced to the cloud (Logos servers) and made available to other devices you may be using to access the software. It is an automatic process and shouldn't normally impact with experienced performance.
I've just checked on my Android device and I do see the Saving message but I can continue to type without delay while that is happening.
So I'm afraid I can't explain why you are experiencing a problem. If it persists, someone from the Faithlife team would probably need to see some logs from your device.
Thank you again for your quick response Graham,
It sounds like it could be network-related problem on my end causing the delay as it tries to upload to the cloud.
I can work around that, now that I know how the note auto save and Logos cloud work.
Thank you again for your insight.

After buying a new and faster smart phone and a new computer I noticed a significant difference in "auto update speed". Much faster now.
