Send hyperlinks here????
Can someone explain what this option actually accomplishes? Someone in the forums said that it replaces the target report option in v3. I don't understand how it does that. Can someone provide a practical explaination/example? Thanks in advance!

Hi James,
Normally when you click a Bible cross reference in a resource your preferred Bible will lookup the verse. When you check "Send hyperlinks here" this designated resource will lookup the cross references.

However in the process of checking this I discovered an error in the references in the College Press NIV Commentary! In the passage I was looking at, 1 Cor 12:1-11, there's a reference to "4-6" but if you click on that reference it cross-references 1 Chronicles 12:4-6! It's obvious that the link should reference 1 Corinthians 12:4-6. There are several such errors in the passage, typically where just verses are listed without a chapter and book reference. Looks like a linking bug, huh? I'd venture a guess that you'd probably find this type of error in all resources that don't specifically mention book, chapter and verse.

This sort of thing is most likely (almost surely) an issue with the resource itself, not the application.
When you run across such things, you should use the "report typo" feature to report them. Also include a note that the error is with the linking of the reference — in this case, that the wrong book is linked to. The report typo feature is functional in beta 2 (and beta 1, I think) as I've used it to report typos or linking issues I've run into in my personal study/reading.

I always report these as typos, and clarify the issue with the faulty hyperlink in the "notes" section.

The report typo feature is functional in beta 2 (and beta 1, I think) as I've used it to report typos or linking issues I've run into in my personal study/reading.

Right click a word or selection. Then select "Selection" uppermost in right column and then "Report typo" in bottom of left column.
I think all bible passages will be looked up in your preferred bible. You probably have to chose NIV as Your preferred one.

Actually you don't; any preferred Bible will do. I know it's an NIV commentary, but the keylink doesn't really care. I've even looked up stuff with the NIV (my preferred Bible) by clicking on a keylink in the NKJV Study Bible - and nothing caught fire, and no stones were thrown. [;)]
