Unchangeable Passage List (PL) Bible trans on mobile because of desktop PL "Top Bibles" view

So, I learned of an issue that if you have a passage list & set the translation view from a specific Bible to "Top Bibles" view in Logos desktop app & sync, you can not change the translation of that same passage list on mobile/tablet (after syncing there as well) by tapping on the translation selection button. It doesn't do anything or it shows the Android pressing/tap glow for a few seconds.

I hadn't changed translations in PLs before when on my mobile/tablet, but I tried to a few weeks ago or so. I only made time to test & investigate this issue more deeply today (I had been busy with other things at the time, but found this strange.)

Before figuring out the area of the issue source, I thought I found a titius work around where I had to go to the option of changing my Top Bible to another for that translation to be reflected in a Passage List on my Android mobile device.

See attached pics about what I mean by specific Bible & "Top Bibles" view in Logos desktop app's Passage List as well as the Passage List translation button in Logos mobile app.

    I just want to make a quick reply & say that I appreciate the Passage List functionality in Logos (Faithlife Bible apps) very much!! I appreciate the development of this fantastic, advanced all-in-one Bible software despite these bugs/issues!

    Hi Ricardo, I am unable to reproduce this issue at the moment. I'm able to change the Bible translation in the mobile app when viewing a Passage List made from Desktop (originally set as Top Bibles). Can you confirm that you are still seeing this issue on the latest Android version: 22.0.1 (1072)?

    Hi Mrs. Ali,

    I'm not sure about originally set as Top Bibles in the Desktop app, as most passages I made or others made & shared where set in one translation or none at all.

    I did see that I was on the lastest version with both my Android phone (mobile) & tablet. Both were experiencing this issue with Top Bibles in the Desktop app.

    I just tested again with doing the following:

    • I changed another passage list to Top Bibles view in Desktop app
    • Waited for sync
    • After sync, closed passage list tab & closed Desktop app
    • Then I opened app on my mobile & waited a bit
    • I opened the same passage list in new tab
    • Couldn't change translation
    • Closed tab & exited app
    • Then I opened app on tablet & waited a bit
    • I opened the same passage list in new tab
    • Couldn't change translation
    • Closed tab & exited app
    • I opened Desktop app again, opened same passage list, & changed Top Bibles view to a translaion (ESV, which is my current main (Top) Bible on Desktop & mobile/tablet) again (because I had changed it before because of this issue with Top Bibles & mobile/tablet use)
    • Waited for sync
    • After sync, closed passage list tab & closed Desktop app
    • Did the same steps of checking on mobile/tablet & saw that I could select a different translation

    I believe, if this is really only me, I may need to send an email with data logs via Help menu in mobile &/or tablet app.

    Another thing to note is that I installed Logos app on mobile & tablet (or vise versa?) around or at the same time in January when I really was trying it, enjoying it, & paid for my Logos 10 package (from my free-tier account at the time). This may mean or be why both mobile & tablet are experiencing the same issue with Desktop app passage list change to Top Bibles view?

    Is this a shared Passage List or your own?

    I believe, if this is really only me, I may need to send an email with data logs via Help menu in mobile &/or tablet app.

    After my Feb 6 2023 update reply above, I forgot to write that I found that the Bible translation button also works in the mobile app if there are 2 or more translations listed for a Passage List in the Desktop app (see screenshot below).


    I just now tested this issue today on my Android mobile & tablet with the latest version (23.0.2) that improved/fixed other things, but this issue still exists between the Desktop & mobile Passage List functions for me.

    I am emailing support with a log from the Help section of the Logos app directly on my Android phone (not sure that I need to with the tablet also) about this with the same or similar info from this thread (vise versa) & a link to this thread.

    I've talked with customer service and they do not have any logs from you. Can you please try resending your logs? As a refresher, here are the instructions:

    1. Click the More menu (hamburger menu icon)
    2. Click "Help" at the bottom of the More menu
    3. Click "Report a Problem"
    4. Send
