My memory may be completely wrong but I vaguely recall something about Faithlife not creating resources in languages that they didn't have someone who could actually read it/proof read it.

I received an email today from Logos informing me that they are getting closer to making at least one Romanian Bible available. So to those of us who want to see this done, please keep hoping and praying (and whining [a little]). [:)]

Is there no concern at all for a Romanian Bible version. there are lots of Romanian users who bought a lot of resources on logos and still no concern for a single Romanian translation. That is sad.

Este 2023! It is 2023 but still the Romanian Bible is disregarded! How long?! Should we try during the Millennium? Alas, we are going to have Babel reversed by then... Is this what we should prayerfully have in mind, or should we petition Logos, as the like widow that petitioned the corrupt judge?! Inspired by the Lord's advise, I think we should do it! Let us fill the boards with petitions!

I’d think the first question is: Do they have anyone who can do the work and ensure a quality product. Personally, I have no idea myself. But if the answer is “no,” then I’m thinking it’s not going to happen.

If they were to ask and look for some people they would surely find! I personally know people that are very, very capable, knowledgeable and with relevant degrees, they are public figures in Romania. I know them personally, offline. Some of them worked for the Accordance version. Some of them work at a new interdenominational translation of the Bible from the original languages with the Romanian Bible Society (SBIR). If Logos would be interested they were only to mildly ask and incentivize somehow these tremendous scholars that are professors at various seminaries. Logos fails to see the potential here...

emm I'm not sure why a Romanian Bible is not available, at least in a raw form.

If the publishers of a Romanian Bible provide the files then it should be relatively easy for them to produce a version as an Ebook.

They would, however, need somebody fluent in Romanian and competent in Bible Studies to start the process of tagging the text.

I just can’t believe Dracula came to Logos first than a Romanian Bible! They’re both from the same country…wait, my Hungarian friend says Transilvania belonged to Hungary so Dracula is really Hungarian 😂😂😂
