Local Media Cache
The Local Media Cache of Proclaim is now over 50 GB. If this contains all the media files I have uploaded I am not sure why I am uploading them if I also have to keep a copy of every media file on my local drive. This eats up a ton of space but it doesn't seem to give me an option to store it on an external drive where I might have the excess room. Is there a way to delete old media I am not using anymore? IF this is the case then using Proclaim is not sustainable, in a year or two I will completely fill up my entire hard drive.
Is there anyway to reduce the amount of local storage needed to keep using proclaim?

Thanks for the question Gary,
When Proclaim shuts down, it checks for media files you haven't accessed in a few months and deletes them. We still have all your media in the cloud, so if you need to reuse it later Proclaim will download it back onto your computer.
If you're concerned about space in the short term, you could check the option to use the file on your computer when adding the media to a service item and skip the upload entirely.0 -
Yes, there are a few ways to reduce the amount of local storage needed to keep using Proclaim:
-
Clear Cache: Proclaim stores your presentation data and other resources in your local cache to make the program run faster. However, over time, this cache can become large and take up a lot of space on your computer. Clearing your cache periodically can free up some storage space. To clear your cache in Proclaim, go to Settings > Application > Clear Cache.
-
Optimize Media: If your presentations contain videos or other media files, these can take up a significant amount of storage space. To reduce the storage space used by media files, you can optimize them in Proclaim. Go to Settings > Media > Optimize All Media to compress and reduce the size of media files without affecting the quality.
-
Delete Old Presentations: If you have old presentations that you no longer need, you can delete them to free up storage space. In Proclaim, go to the Home tab and click on the presentation you want to delete. Then click on the gear icon and select Delete Presentation.
-
Move Presentation Files: By default, Proclaim stores your presentation files in the Documents folder on your computer. However, you can move your presentation files to an external hard drive or cloud storage service to free up local storage space.

Your 1st option i.e. Clear Cache... I don't see the "command chain" Settings > Application > Clear Cache in proclaim, I'm using version 4.4 (on PC) and under the "Settings" drop down there is no "Application" option to be found. How can I Clear the Cache?
