Is there a listing of improvements or changes on the new Proclaim Remote? New Bugs?

Hi - I've seen the reminders to update the remote software on iPads - and we did that. What changes were made? I've noticed that on videos, while the video doesn't play on an iPad, at least it now gives you a picture of the video - that's a good thing.

I've also noticed that when connecting to the "local" option, it doesn't show that on the iPad. It used to show it so you'd know you were connected directly to the computer. That was helpful. I've tested the connection and it's correct (on 2 ipads). Is that a new feature or a bug?

Anything else going on with the new iPad remote app?

You can find a list of changes in the description for the app store, but the big change is that Proclaim and the Remote now use an improved method of controlling and following slides over a standard internet connection. Older versions of the Remote won't support these features, and we wanted to make sure people had plenty of time to update their devices before we lit everything up a couple weeks ago.

We didn't mention it in the release notes as we were releasing the pieces over time and you wouldn't have seen an improvement for a couple weeks afterward. Perhaps we should have, and that's something the team can talk about internally.

That said, I'm glad to hear that you've seen some improvement here, as you should see improved stability and performance using a standard internet connection with the Remote. I'll look into the Local WiFi banner not showing, as that is still the preferred connection method. But as we dial in the services it may be that Local WiFi will only be necessary in an offline environment.

I noticed that the Local WiFi banner was on my iPad this morning, so maybe that has been fixed. I've been using Proclaim for over 9 years now and always use the iPad Remote software to move the service along. We're a liturgical church, so lots of reading and singing, and it's all up on the screen. Maybe when the new version is in place, you could offer some on-line training on how to use it. I have had to show a number of people how I use it so they even get the concept of how it can work. I am aware, though, that as new features have been added, I may not even be aware of them and would also benefit from some enrichment in it. Thanks!
