Creating a new highlight causes existing highlights to disappear

For the past few days, whenever I create a new highlight (and often when I make a new note) in my preferred Bible resource (the NIV), all of the existing highlights and notes disappear from that resource. They are still there in the Note tool but not visible in the resource. If I reopen the Bible in a new tab or duplicate the tab, the highlighting and notes reappear.

This NIV resource has thousands of highlights and notes, so I've tried dividing them into multiple notebooks with only a few hundred notes in each notebook, but this does not seem to solve the problem.

Has anyone else seen this occur? Does anybody have a solution?

Thanks!

I haven't seen this but it seems somewhat similar to what is being described in https://community.logos.com/forums/t/216348.aspx

Are you seeing this on Windows or Mac?

    For the past few days

And I'm assuming from this that this is new behaviour. If so, are there any changes you have made / updates you have applied in that time frame?

I'm thinking about, for example, the Logos 25.2 release that shipped on 22 May. And did make a change to the Notes Tool but not one that I would have expected to introduce an issue like this.

It does seem to be similar to that other thread. I am using a PC. I just restarted it for another time, and the Notes/Highlighting worked like normal for a few minutes, but the problem reoccurred. Specifically, it happened when I changed the highlight color attached to a Note in the NIV resource. I've also noticed that the "Factbook" icon which you use for toggling the Factbook underlining on and off will also disappear in that resource if you click it.

I've only noticed it in the last week or so (I was on vacation last week so was not using Logos on my PC). It could be that it started occurring when 25.2 shipped.

I chatted earlier with Logos support, and they told me that it was a common problem when you had too many Notes in one notebook. So, I spent some time dividing up my Notes into many separate notebooks, but it does not seem to help.

    Thanks Ryan

I've created a new post - cross-linked to this one at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/216393.aspx - asking someone from Faithlife to look into it.

I've had a case opened with Faithlife for about a week on this issue.
