I wondered that, but not in pre-pub and only released on Faithlife ebooks a couple of months ago.

Hi Paul, we are in the process of making this one a Logos edition vs. an ebook. You should see it back on the site soon.

Thanks 😊 Will it appear as a pre-pub this week? Otherwise it's a shame to have pulled it as a Faithlife ebook early.

True. There was a significant article in the press this weekend, and I wanted to check this book; not available in Logos.
So, I headed over to the Big A, and downloaded a sample. It turns out, Paine says this volume is the easy-reading (my words) version of his earlier text 'Man and Woman, One in Christ'. So, I downloaded a sample of that too.
At least paperback page counts, 512 (older version) vs 250 or so (newer version). Quite a bit of difference. Looks like the smaller volume does more organizing; the larger volume more original language, including HALOT refs and so forth. Also, the footnotes are considerably more in-depth.
I decided his older volume ... more exegetical, but that's just me.

Looks like we need both. I've downloaded a sample of the shorter book, where he states in the introduction:
This book simplifies my 511-page book on this topic, Man and Woman, One in Christ. It puts cookies on the lower shelf for everyone to enjoy. Although not examining passages in as much detail, this book includes my more recent discoveries and also examines Titus 2 and 1 Peter 3. It also tells many personal stories that highlight the significance of the Bible’s teachings about man and woman.

In pre-pub now. A little bit more than when in Faithlife ebooks so wishing I had ordered previously, but you don't anticipate a book being switched to Logos only a couple of months after being published in Faithlife ebooks.

I guess I don't get it. The prepub is a Reader Edition. How's that so much better than a ebook edition (yes, I know the latter is auto-publish, plus Bible refs).

Here is the company line: Reader Editions have "consistent formatting," "citations with page numbers," and "corrected hyperlinks to scripture."
They are nicer... but the pricing isn't always so nice compared to when eBooks go on sale.

The big disadvantage of Logos Reader Editions over Faithlife ebooks is that they're not subject to publisher sales. The advantages are very minor.

I will stay out of the debate, but there are MANY who would disagree with you. There are many who complain about the state of eBooks, especially the formatting and lack of page numbers.
Obviously only my opinion. I've found some books poorly formatted - especially sime novels. But in the main I find Faithlife ebooks formatting okay - especially if you've bought for a dollar or two. Page numbers are not an issue for me, but appreciate will be for some or even many.

Honestly, it seems like Faithlife ebooks no longer picks up the sales from most publishers. I used to see sales come through all the time, but the only ones I really notice anymore are the ones that get listed on the free book of the month page. I wonder what happened with some of those publisher relationships?

I wish this book was still in Faithlife ebooks. Firstly, it's taking a long time to be published in Logos and secondly the ebook is currently on sale elsewhere. I know many don't like untagged ebooks in their Logos ecosystem, but I really don't mind if I can buy cheaply and have in my Logos library rather than Kindle.

3 months' later still stuck "in production". Shame it didn't stay in Faithlife ebooks during this time so people could purchase.

Hi Mitch
It's a year now since this resource was pulled from the ebooks store and it's still "in production" as a Logos resource. I note it's only going to be a Logos Reader Edition, so why does it take so long and why remove from the ebook store? Do some publishers require you to use a particular store for certain books?
