Palaea Historica
Okay ... I'm going nuts as even Google seems to want to discuss everything except Palaea texts. Does anyone know of a source for these medieval Orthodox works?
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Found this from a Bing AI search, "The original Greek text of the Palaea Historica (Old Testament History) is an anonymous ninth century AD work that survives in manuscripts dating from the 12th to 16th centuries. There are also two Slavic translations of the Palaea Historica, one from the 10th century and one from the 14th century". It also links to the following resource: “Palaea Historica”. Thank you ever so much ... this is much more than the one academic paper and one Logos resource I'd found.

MJ I assume you checked your library - I see many excerpts, discussions on fragments, variations in manuscripts and references to Palaea Historica in Old Testament Pseudepigrapha...there might be some others, "Palaea Historica" came up a lot for me...

I see many excerpts, discussions on fragments, variations in manuscripts and references to Palaea Historica in Old Testament Pseudepigrapha
I found https://ref.ly/logosres/otpsdpgrph01?ref=Page.p+600 i.e, Bauckham: More Noncanonical Scriptures Vol 1, page 600ff (15 pages of introduction before) - this is also where Rick Brannan's "OT Pseudepigrapha: A Guide" points to.
Have joy in the Lord!

Glad it helped [Y] A rephrasing of my question turned up this link Remarks on the Anathemas in the "Palaea Historica" | Studia Ceranea. Journal of the Waldemar Ceran Research Centre for the History and Culture of the Mediterranean Area and South-East Europe (lodz.pl) PDF link to the article is under the cover pic on the right. Also this sounds promising Work in Progress: Adler on the Palaea Historica | Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies (ncsu.edu)

A few more papers that look interesting (two by William Adler). You do need to create a free account to access them though: https://www.academia.edu/search?q=Palaea%20Historica
