Help - How to turn off Reverse Interlinear Pane
I know I am missing something but for the life of me I cannot find how to turn off the "Reverse Interlinear Pane" (see insert) and only have it appear when I want it.... I click on #1 to view the Hebrew or Greek... but the RIP (#2) always pops up also. Is there a way to do this without having to do it every I show the Greek or Hebrew version?
I would like to turn it off permanently and only use in when I so choose. Thanks.
What I would like to see is the following and then choose "Reverse Interlinear Pane" if I want it.

Ok... My apologies for not being clearer... let me explain...
I do "turn off Reverse Interlinear Pane" as you all describe.... and that works... then I "update my layout" so that is saved.
Then I close Logos... and re-open. And guess what? If I click on the Greek symbol.... I get the "Reversed Interlinear Pane" again.
Is there any way to turn off the "Reversed Interlinear Pane" until I want it?

I can't recreate your problem.

Why do you save the layout and then restart Logos only to click the Greek symbol when you don't want it! Why not wait until you want it?
The layout will be saved prior to exit with the Program Setting At startup Open to: Most recent layout - local.
--> OK, if I ensure that both Interlinears are turned off, save the layout, then Close All Panels and re-open the layout:
- both interlinears are OFF when I click the drop-arrow next to the Greek symbol; but
- the inline Interlinear is ON when I click the Greek symbol!
Something not right, but you can avoid opening the interlinear (select the appropriate one when ready).

I have always seen the Bible Language icon
as an on/off button for the reverse interlinear, defaulting to “inline” (I think). The selection arrow allows you to change the default to “pane” or both inline and pane. Therefore, if you turn the interlinear “on” by pressing the button, the interlinear is shown – either with the system default, or the default you have set.Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. - Colossians 3:14

Are you saying that if you:
- Choose Interlinear Options (click Down arrow ˅ next to Interlinear icon
). - Clear both “Inline Reverse Interlinear” and “Reverse Interlinear Pane” main options.
- Choose Interlinear Options again (click Down arrow ˅ next to Interlinear icon
) to close. - Click Interlinear icon
to turn on interlinear.
— The interlinear opens in “Pane” mode instead of “Inline” mode?
If so, have you checked to see if other translations have the same issue for you?

Also, have you checked to see if you have a second copy of the NKJV open as well in that same layout? The second copy may be overriding the default you are attempting to change on the first copy.

I did sense what you were trying to demonstrate, bur it is not displayed when you restart and it is switched "off" in the drop-down! Just avoid clicking the Greek icon until you are ready for it.

Nope. I'm having the same problem. It keeps coming back. To add insult to injury, if I have my Bible pane too narrow, the little arrow divot by the Aleph-Omega doesn't show, so I have to widen the pane to be able to access it and turn it off.

Okay, I think I just figured it out:
- I turned it off in one layout and updated the layout.
- I opened another layout where the same Bible is there with the option set to show the reverse interlinear pane--but the interlinear Aleph-Omega button is toggled off.
- The setting for that Bible from layout #2 persists when I open #1 again.
So, turning it off in #2 and updating that layout fixed it reopening automatically in #1. I think.

Thanks Sean. I have played with it too much can't seem to turn Reverse Interlinear Pane off.. What you seem to be saying... is that if it is on in any layout, then it will be on in every layout. Is that what you are saying?
I have 8 layouts that I work with. I will go through them all and turn Reverse Interlinear Pane off.... I'm not sure it will help though.
Edit: I went through all my layouts, turned off Reverse Interlinear Pane, saved the layout.
And still the RIP persists. I think it needs a "Logos fix"... [8-|]
