Numbered List in Sermon Builder
I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this.
When using the Numbered List in Sermon Builder the numbers post with the "number/cursor/period". Then I have to hit the space bar a couple of times to keep from writing over the number.
And I want it to post "number/period/space/space". Not sure I'm making sense, wish I could copy a picture of it, but not able to. The cursor is always behind the period so I have to hit the space bar twice after hitting return for the next number, or indent for the next level.
If, somehow, we could make the numbered list in Sermon Builder work like the Numbered List in Notes, that would be great. Although I don't like the amount of space given when I hit Indent.
Just sayin'

I may not understand but.. .if I do... Are you on Apple IOS system? I don't see what your talking about on my Windows 11 system. Here's what I see:
My cursor (although it doesn't show it in the picture) is at the pointed end of the arrow. In other words, 1.(blank)cursor is what I see.
xn = Christan man=man -- Acts 11:26 "....and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch".

Thanks, xnman, that is what I want, but not to be. I'm on Windows 11 also. Numbering in Notes works fine, just not in Sermon Builder.

Just for interest this is a screen shot from my Mac in 'Sermon Builder'. There to get a numbered list one has to
- Type '1.'
- add a space and
- then some content.
Once that is done pressing the return or enter key automatically adds the next number.
Skip any of the three steps and you don't get a list.

Thanks, Mike, I only wish this worked for me. When I type 1. and add a space the cursor jumps back between the 1 and period. So I hit space a couple of times and then add my content. When I hit Return I get 2cursorPeriod, so I have to hit the space bar twice and I'm ready for content.
The period does not move, it stays in place when I hit the space bar. Go figure!! :-)

Thanks for the report. I'll investigate on my end.

I can't replicate this on my Windows machine as when I enter into a numbered list I get the following. Anything I am missing when I enter into the numbered list? Sounds like hitting space is the culprit for you, but is working for me.

Thanks, Matt, no the space is not the culprit, when I select Numbered List from the bar it inserts the 1cursorPeriod. I've tried to make a photo of the page, but for some reason it always copies both my monitors and therefore not usable.

Matt, is it possible that a reinstall might help?

It is not likely that reinstalling will have any impact on this.
Do you see the same thing when editing these documents on the web app?
A screenshot may help us better diagnose your issue. If your method of taking a screenshot is capturing both monitors, you might try a "rectangular snip" inside the the Snipping Tool in Windows 11.

Alan, it works perfect on the web app. Does that tell us anything?
Thanks for the suggestion.

Here is the screenshot, hope it works out. Yes, the web app works great, but I'm not a user of the web app. Sorry it covers the screen, I have visual problems so my font is large.

Sorry, the image isn't coming through.

This is an interesting clue as to what may be different about your setup vs ours. Are you using Program Scaling, Panel Scaling, Operating System level scaling or some other third party tool?

This is redicoulas, not sure why the screenshot does not show up. Oh well, guess I'll just have to live with it, not happy about something that is supposed to work, but doesn't. At least it works correctly in Notes.

I'm not using any type scaling program, only increase font size in Logos.

Yes, that looks like it. BTW, when I click on Edit the screenshot shows up in the box. ????

My apologies for the issue with list items. Thank you for reporting it and for your patience working with us to reproduce it.
We will create a case to document this bug and fix it in an upcoming release.

Alan, what is Panel Scaling?

Thanks, Alan, that was the key. When I decreased the bar the numbers came in as they should. My problem, is going to be able to see what I'm typing at each level.
Thanks again!!
