BUG (?): Closing Sections in Guides while running

In Beta 1, I was able to quickly go down the list of sections in the passage guide and close those items which I did not want or need (a quick-ish work-around to not being able to customise the basic passage guide)

In Beta 2, this no longer seems to be working. The X appears when I hover over the bar, but nothing happens when I click on it. I am also unable to close those sections which have no content.

Strangely, I ran a passage guide on Titus 1:7-9 (the requirements for  an overseer) and in the media section, there appeared one of the new infographics on "New/Old Wineskins" - odd....

Any chance of some way of opening a bible from the passage guide?

I too have missed the Bible link to the reference that was in the passage guide in v.3.

Will this be fixed in Beta 3??????

Passage Guides take so long to run on my computer while sections church away producing either no information or information in which I have no interest.

Agreed.  It makes no sense not being there...please add this back.

In my Beta2 I can close sections in PG by clicking X.

    Ebbe,

Can you close them while they are still processing, while the little black bars are chugging away or only after they have produced something?

    Damian,

I can close them while they are still processing and after they have produced but i recognice I can't close them if they are grayed out and didn't produced anything.

    This must be a bug

    Ebbe,

Strange. I can't close mine while they're processing. It's very frustrating - slows everything down to a crawl.

Strange. I can't close mine while they're processing.

There are two stages while processing.

First stage: everything is grayed out but processing and I can't close.

Second stage: Still processing but starting to show result and not grayed out any more. Then I can close.

Maybe at this moment processing is over but the black bars still chugging away in spite processing is over and result is start to be displayed?

I see now the only sections I can close while processing is Biblical People, Biblical Places and BiblicalThings.

We've reported the problem of not being able to remove empty sections.

If you enter a passage on the Home Page, your preferred Bible (and others) and preferred Commentary will open with the Passage Guide (and Exegetical Guide).

You might consider making a new Passage Guide template, adding only those sections you want; you can always add a section temporarily, if desired, from the 'Add' drop-down list on the toolbar. You could also link the guide and your preferred Bible to the same link set, then save that layout.

    Thanks Melissa,

I'd also like to be able to close them while they are processing which was the behaviour in Beta 1 but seemed to disappear in Beta 2. It's probably connected to the new behaviour of being unable to remove empty sections.

If you do B, then A is no longer applicable since A only opens default passge guide and not your custom guide.

Beta3 - still unable to close sections while they are processing or remove empty sections

Right, those were two different options.  :o)
