Some queries about the Insights feature
This was using an iPad and Logos 34.0.0 (0010)
1) When using the Related Books option, I had assumed that the Open button would open the linked book - but it actually opens a popup and the linked book can then be opened by tapping the book‘s title. Is this behaving as designed?
2) When I do open the linked book it is not placed into a linkset with the Bible - whereas on the desktop it is. Are there plans to make the behaviour across the different platforms consistent?
3) If there are no related verses, that is shown in the panel. Would it be possible to not show this as an option where there are no related verses to save the user tapping to see nothing is there? The same question applies to the other sections such as Factbook and Word Info cards
Thanks, Graham

Yes, it is. Do you think the word Open is misleading? What would you suggest otherwise?

We don't have plans for this at the moment, but if we get sufficient user demand, we will consider it.

Are you suggesting that the sidebar just be blank (ie. no text indicating that there are no related passages)? Or, it not be possible to select verses with no related passages, when tapping the Insights Navigator arrow buttons?
Thank you for your feedback, Graham!

Yes - I do think it misleading (I was confused!) Would More be better as on the desktop?

Understood - but I've just noticed some other inconsistencies:
- On desktop there is the option to open the book directly from the insights panel by clicking its name - on mobile we can only do this after opening the popup
- On desktop there is the option to change the book shown in the panel from the insights panel itself - on mobile we can only do this after opening the popup
I think it would be really helpful if these actions were standardised as much as possible

The first - if there are no passages recognised as related then the Related Passages section shouldn't show in the Insights Panel so I don't end up tapping it and finding nothing there. With the same principles applied to the other sections in the panel
Hope this makes sense!
Thanks, Graham

Another possibility that could work in a similar manner would be to gray out the options that aren’t available.
Also, I agree with Graham that “More” would work better for the popup, as “Open” lends itself more to the idea of opening the entire book.
And once again Ali, thank you and everyone at Logos for all your effort to improve the user experience for us.
Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. - Colossians 3:14

We originally had it as More and changed it to better indicate that you are opening a new screen. I'll talk with others about making this change.

We have talked about making the book and Bible references hyperlinks in the Related Books cards and Related Passages cards. Nothing is planned yet, but we've considered it.

Interesting idea. Do you find yourself wanting to change the book often?

Thanks for your input! I'll take this to discussion with others.

That would be great

Not frequently, but sometimes it is a good way to quickly scan through insights from a few commentaries etc
