Moving windows and disappearing title bars
My setup is most likely different to many people's. I have my windows taskbar at the top of the screen. On my notebook, it is not set to autohide.
Problem:
When the window is certain sizes and in certain positions. If I minimise it, when I restore it, it moves a few centimetres up the screen such that the titlebar of the program cannot be seen. The only way for me to move it is to shrink or widen the width of the window and for some reason it then moves down the screen enough to allow me to grab the titlebar and drag it down.
Before shot:
After shot:
I do not like the way the windows move around the screen when they are restored after minimisation. There are certain size program windows within which I like to work (I rarely work with any program maximised). But, I am unable to keep these windows in the position to which I am accustomed. They move up and to the left. They have a mind of their own (or of the designer's). Why can't I set the window positioning as I like it?

I use numerous programs and none of them over-ride my preferences for windows size and placement. Is their a logic behind this? I seem to spend as much time moving my windows around as I do on research...

Which windows? I'm confused by the plural windows ...I don't have a problem with the main Logos4 window. Do you mean floating windows?
Hmmm, I do have a problem with the main window remembering its size when there is a floating window, but it only occurs with a floating window.

The main program window. If I minimise it and then restore it, it is not in the same place that it was in before. It restores to a different position as if there is a predetermined grid for window placement.
