Design problem: Long press for word info settings constantly resetting

Previously, one could consistently and easily call up Word Info by long pressing on a word. It worked great, and especially for Bible study it was fantastic, as it allowed you to quickly pull up original language info in an easy to use but still very useful fashion. 

With the latest UI updates, the user now is offered a lot of options as to what type of info they want to see: Factbook? Word Info? Notes and Highlightings? 

All of that is fine and good. It's great to see Factbook info finally integrated.

However, the UI should remember what the user last chose, and consistently offer that, at least until the app resets. Instead, almost every time the user selects a word, they again have to choose the Word Info (or Factbook) option. This makes using long press consistently frustrating, as what you could previously do with Long Press, now you almost always have to do with Long Press + Tap the option i want.

This does work correctly sometimes. For example, if I long press two words in a row while on the Word Info page, it correctly updates the Word info page. As well, if I long press a word, go to Word Info, then tap on the x to close, and then long press another word, the app will open directly up to the Word Info page. Great! That's how it should work. 

However, there are other instances in which it resets for no clear reason. For example, if I long press on a word, and then go to Word Info, and then simply tap on another word, it will switch over to the Factbook! What??? If anything, it should simply update the word info with the word i tapped or. or it could do nothing if you like and wait for me to long press. In that case it should remember that I was on the Word Info (or Factbook, as it may be) page, and if I long press again, switch me over to wherever i was before. 

It is also impossible to have the Word Info page open and then scroll. If I do so, it again switches over to the Facbook for no apparent reason. Ideally, i could have the word info permanently open, and be scrolling around, and just tapping or long pressing on words and having them appear in the Word Info / Factbook view, depending on which i have open at the time. Same should go for Passage Guide or similar.

Ideally i could also just go back and forth with the window open between Passage Guide and Word Info just by double tapping and long pressing.
