I ask because I want to use it or something similar in a tip post and I don't know what is most known to what group of users. Thanks.
The Lexham Research commentaries (https://www.logos.com/product/189697/lexham-research-commentaries ) are a little more up to date, but I like the Exegetical Summary format better.
I also use all of them but if you want to use just one for a tip post, I can suggest "An Exegetial Summary of Hebrews"
I really like the way the SIL Exegetical Summary Series summarizes and tells you which of the other commentaries line up with the various views.
Are there other similar commentary series that point you to all of the other major commentary sets?
Like Justin I have both ES and LRC. I prefer LRC because it incorporates newer resources and is a quicker read for weekly sermon preparation. I used ES more for academic papers that needed more nuance and precision.
are those the only two of that type?
LRC are great but doesn’t cover every book. SIL exegetical guides are more inclusive and have broader coverage but reference BADG which will frustrate many that can’t get it.
Is it possible for AI to do the job of SIL and LRC?
I asked a similar question here: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/225176/1314591.aspx#1314591
Did not get a satisfactory answer.
I believe Logos is only pursuing the low-hanging fruit with AI at this point.
