I agree! This would help a lot with seminary assignments to read Word doc materials (e.g. course notes, handouts, articles) that I would prefer to have in Logos so that my highlighting is retained and obviously for the benefit of searching in the future. It feels a little unintuitive to have a personal "books" feature that isn't available on the primary devices for reading books. I do writing and research on desktop, but I use my iPad for almost all of my book reading.

I would also like to have this feature on mobile so that I can access my personally-written resources (e.g., papers I've written for class, sermons and materials that were in Word prior to the Sermon Editor feature, etc.).

Seems like the user benefits of having PBs on mobile devices has been clearly and repeatedly articulated. But what I am not seeing in online threads is the LOGOS rationale for why this feature is not up for consideration. Is it a programming or technical constraint? Is it a cost - the cost of developing and maintaining this feature would be greater than the benefit? Perhaps it conflicts with the strategic goals of Logos platform itself? Maybe the Logos explanation has been discussed earlier, but I didn't see it? Understanding the reason(s) for not making this feature available might be helpful in looking for avenues on how to move this feature development forward.

Yes, i'd love to be able to include my own PDF's / etc. Although i can see this would be problematic for user-created books to pass through or be stored on Logos' servers, for various reasons.

Yes, please add this feature. I. Primarily use Logos on Android, and it's frustrating not having personal books.

Much needed - would also allow personal books to be used on desktop on different computers and upgrade of computer to a new one. If the problem is storage space on Logos servers then consider an option for users to store on their own cloud account (e.g. OneDrive, Dropbox, etc).

Yes, for non-English Bible translations this would be very useful.

I purchase books in Kindle because iOS Voiceover in Kindle is way better than in Logos. When driving I use Voiceover to listen to my Kindle books. I upload these books (that I purchased via Kindle) to Logos as well to keep my notes centrally located. I use the mobile app far more than I use the desktop app and should be able to access my personal books that I purchased without having to purchase them again just to read and access my notes in mobile/web apps.

Wow, this suggestion has the most votes of any other for the Mobile platform, by a long shot. Faithlife, please reconsider your previous aversion to doing this feature.

Yes please. Missionaries teaching in other languages would greatly benefit.

I support PROVIDED they remove the extra header at the top of the app. If i upload other books, i like to have the app read it to me… but if there is a header on the page, the reader repeats it with every page turn.

Very much needed to complete my transition to Logos. Have several recent decent purchases.

A must, I have diverted to Nortes and the print in MS Word to PDF then import into Kindle App for reading and sorting as collections.

It has been said several times, but I confirm that in smaller languages (in this case Hungarian) this is an indispensable opportunity to study the translation into your own language.

I understand the good folks at Faithlife have issues with using personal books on the mobile platform. If I am understanding the issue correctly, they would have to maintain them on their servers, and would not make money from it. It is awfully hard to level too much criticism at the company for their business practices, seeing they have remained in business for so many years. I purchased the first version over 30-years ago. Later, after prayerful consideration, I purchased a version with many reference works in it. It was a huge budgetary consideration for me at the time. Since that time, most of the other companies that I had considered no longer produce a bible program. My point is that we should give Faithlife a huge amount of credit in that respect. To stay in business requires that they make a profit. I have no problem with that.

Having said all of that, I would like to suggest that perhaps our good friends at Faithlife, could allow personal books on mobile for an annual fee. The pricing model could be structured so the user could maintain a certain amount of server space for personal books. If more space is needed, the fee would go up.

I imagine that they have considered different ideas of this nature. I am certain that this also involves huge complexities that I have not even dreamed of. Software rewrites, and copyright considerations are among those. From the looks of it though, it would be a very popular feature and make many people happy.

I would think this could happen as long as the books use an open source standard (not likely due to copywrite). I would like to create my own document and import into Logos.

Yes, please! Perhaps this would help with idea of "access to Bibles in all languages". Even if the full Logos integration / functionality isn't built for Bibles in other languages, the ability to use personal books on mobile devices could enable many additional languages. Absolutely! Also please don't paywall this by requiring Bronze and above, this is frustrating! We already spend plenty of money even if we have starter packages.

Yes. With Ver. 10's Print Library function, there can be no philosophical or fiscal reason to deny the Personal Book option to mobile app users.

This would be great, IF you employ your automatic-tagging tool to enhance our books with as many of the kinds of tags that purchased books have, without human intervention.

This is an important feature for me. It seems silly to have to use Kindle documents as a workaround when I already have it as a Personal Book that is stored in the cloud and syncs to my desktops... but not to my mobile devices. For simply reading a book, mobile is the way to go rather than being shackled to the desktop. Help me stay in the Logos ecosystem...

This would be an effective way for missionaries to add local translations without needing Logos to add each one to the library. Many translators would be happy!

As an apologist, I need to be able to use my previously created files to work in the Logos environment. Can we have this as a paid feature? I'd pay to have this ability to import word files or books in.

@Alister Rebelo I am checking out other Apps and Blue Letter Bible functionality with notes is way better. I love you guys but I cant see how I can remain on this platform much longer. You need to up your game, improve anchors to show all text, more Bible versions like ISV, RSVCE etc.

CTRL+R jump to page
in the far right corner is a small window telling what page logos is reading aloud from, it can pause, but cant jump to a specific page number, why not make that possible?
Return of Enter Passage, Click Go
I miss the ability to enter a passage and click Go for the Passage Guide, Exegetical Guide, etc. I'd love to see a return to it.
More than one Proclaim screen open and the same time.
I am a layperson that work with Proclaim. I think it would be nice to have more than one date open at the same time. That way you don't have to keep opening and closing each day if you need to copy something from one day to the next. Just saying it would make things a little easier on everyone. Thank you.
