Sermons: Make Sermon Mode sermons sortable

Make the Sermon list in Preaching Mode sortable by most recent, alphabetical, etc. I preach three sermons every Sunday and my limited ADHD mind sometimes cannot remember what I titled my own sermon when I am trying to bring it up to preach. Right now it just seems to be random.

I would love this! In fact, for me, just having them automatically ordered by most recently opened/edited would be enough. The more lessons I have created, the more difficult locating the proper lesson is becoming.0

Nice idea!0

Yes... Do it!
xn = Christan man=man -- Acts 11:26 "....and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch".
Barney Fife is my hero! He only uses an abacus with 14 rows!

I use the sermon manager and set the date the sermon will deliver. It should default sort by that! The day I open preaching mode is the day I am looking for that sermon I said I would preach...0

For anyone looking for more thoughts on this issue - I tried to list all the forum posts concerning this issue that I could find here:

My own vote would be to have them ordered by "last edited," since that will definitely bring up the sermon I'm most concerned with at the moment. (It might not be the top one, but it would be pretty close to the top.)
Ordering them by "occasion date" (Keith's suggestion) is quite logical, but I worry that there could be a situation where I should have updated an occasion date but forgot to do so, and that could cause trouble.0 -
Ordering by last edited date would certainly be helpful. It would be even more helpful to offer a filter capability that includes the Series and passage references to reduce the number of sermons to peruse when looking for one that may not be the latest.0

A Faithlife representative explained to me (via email) why sermon docs seem to be randomly ordered on mobile. Here's what I understood (hopefully this is an accurate portrayal - if something seems off, it's likely that my explanation is lacking): Document modification times aren't synced across devices. This means that, if we modify a sermon doc on one device (laptop), then switch devices (maybe to a mobile device to present), the second device doesn't know what time that doc was last modified. So, it can't properly order the docs by modification time - it uses only the modification times it is aware of (ie. modifications made on that very device itself).
The Faithlife representative explained that changing this would be extremely complex, and would require profound changes. Because of that, it isn't on the list of expected improvements right now. They are aware of the issue, and they are keeping it in mind for possible work in the future, but nothing is planned now.
Given this, I'll start advocating for sermon docs to be sorted by "Occasion date" on mobile, instead of date last modified, since, I think, the syncing issue wouldn't impact that.0 -
It would be extremely easier to find sermons if a date order or search was available.1

Totally agree! The mobile App is not as useful for updating or adding content for future study because it ONLY list by title. I would really love for it to function like the Sermon Manager on the desktop version. Hopefully, this will be a future added in the future.0

I would like to see the default sorting in Sermon Manger be the same on the desktop and the mobile app. The desktop sorts by date scheduled and the mobile app only list the title. For research, I would find it easier to open a certain date (like next week) or even a specific text and add something on the fly. On the mobile app, it list the document by title and the type is "sermon". Hopefully, this will be a future feature.0

When starting or selecting a sermon for preaching mode, they should be displayed by date that coincides with the the planner.1
