I have wished for a complete overhaul of the "Boards". Allow them to be sorted alpha-numerically or allow manual order change like you're are suggesting. It could be a far more useful function than it is right now.
This is badly needed. If you have more than a handful of boards, this can become overwhelming and make it hard to find the board you need, since they are only organized by the date they were created.
