Watching the forums for questions on these resources, I believe that having preset (Home page) layouts for these resources would make them more accessible to new users and WordSearch transfers. Because there are so many resources and relationships to be followed, setting them up to "just work" is difficult for a Logos newbie. I suspect that a format similar to what the user would have seen in WordSearch would be the most beneficial. Ideally, these would be grayed out if the necessary resources were not owned.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Grey lines?!? I beg you, don't do it! Since I don't own this defective CBL resource and seldom use Thompson as well, it would be upsetting to discover my Logos would be suddenly incomplete (no matter how much I already paid), with useless and annoying grey lines wasting my precious screen space. If this thing becomes commonplace, soon you'll get a bunch of grey lines, corresponding to resources you don't want, inside the most expensive crippleware ever conceived.

@Lucian Benigno  You misunderstood the request. The request is for additional options on the layout menu with options not relevant to you being grayed out (or not shown at all). I do not appreciate your tone. If you have complaints about the "crippleware" complain to FL not to me. I own neither of the resources, have no interest in them, and in fact, disagree with the hermeneutics employed by them. However, I am willing to make suggestions that help some segment of my fellow Logosians.

Dear @MJ. Smith , I owe you an apology. I understood the request, but after reading what I said, I noticed I was indeed too blunt with my words. That was unacceptable of me. Please forgive me. I'm in the same boat as you and also disagree with the hermeneutics employed by these resources. My Logos isn't crippleware until now, so I wrote the above hoping I'll never have a reason to complain about it to Faithlife. Other than that, please rest assured I appreciate and am grateful for your hard work that has so often made Logos a better product for each of us. Thank you!
  • I find layouts and workflows helpful, and I think this would be a great one. I have some workflows that came with a package that includes the resources used in the workflow. If the workflows come bundled with these resources there would be no gray for people without the resources, right?
