Sorry if this has already been answered. I read the welcome post and did a search and couldn't find the answer.

What is the difference between "Agree" and "Like" for posts? To me they seem the same but I'd like to make sure I'm using them correctly according to their desired purposes.

Thanks in advance.

"Like" to me is a generic positive reaction. "Agree" is more specific. If someone makes a claim or answers a question in a way that I very much agree with, I would respond with "Agree". In most cases, I would respond with "Like". If I find myself snickering or accidentally spitting out my coffee, I'll respond with "LOL".
