Jumpy Scrolling in the Bible Pane

Unconfirmed, Member Posts: 2

I have software version 37.2.12 on a Mac and noticed that scrolling in the Bible tab is fast and jumpy. All of the other books and resources scroll smoothly at a normatl pace, but the Bible tab will quickly jump 4 to 9 verses when scrolling with a touchpad or mouse. The scroll bar is also missing (thinking I could drag the scroll bar to go slower) Is there a setting that I missed or a fix I can try? I've restarted the software and checked for updates.

The setting you're looking for is "Columns". It will depend on if you're a subscriber or not, but if you're on Paged View, you can turn that off. On Windows you can turn it off by pressing Ctrl+Shift+P, I would imagine the shortcut is the same on Mac but I'm not 100% sure on that.

If you're a subscriber of Pro/Max press "View" on the dynamic toolbar and then "Paged View" and turn "Paged View" off.

Someone with the non-dynamic toolbar can chime in on how to do it without dynamic toolbar, because I've already forgot.

I see that Ctrl+Shift+P is supposed to be the hotkey, but did you actually test this? I can't get the hotkey to work for me.

Yes, yes, yes!! Thank you so much! This fixed it. I used the button to turn off "Paged View", but for future reference for others on a Mac, the keyboard shortcut is Shift-Command-P

It worked fine for me on Windows 11, toggling between the two settings

This setting in a Link Set would have the entire Link Set skipping as well…. It would drive me crazy LOL

This is working for me in v.38 Beta 3. So I suppose it doesn't matter what's going on with my v.37, as it's likely to be fixed soon if there is a problem. Thank you @Graham Criddle

@Aaron Hamilton i didn’t test it when I made this comment, but I have done it in the past. My common shortcuts are on my stream deck, so I’m not good at remembering specific shortcuts.

It works with the right shift key on my keyboard, but not with the left. The left shift key works fine for most purposes. This is the first instance where I have noticed it not behaving as expected. Computers can be weird. Regardless, the problem seems to be specific to one particular keyboard of mine. So certainly not a Logos issue.

My problem is that: With Paged View turned off, and simply scrolling through the text, it still jumps a few verses with a single scroll.
