How to export concordance results with english glosses?

Hey guys.

The end product I am trying to achieve is to generate a list of all Greek verbs from a specific passage and have that exported into a more usable document like Excel - both the Greek words and their English gloss.

I can search specific verses with the concordance tool and generate a list there, but the export to Excel only captures the Greek word and it's frequency, not the English gloss. Alternatively, I can create a word list for a specific passage that can be exported with both Greek and English gloss, but that captures every word - I can't specify a part of speech. And as far as I can tell, there is no way to take a concordance list and translate that into a word list.

Anyone got any advice?

Is this what you want? I did an inline morph search with 1 John as a passage list, to limit the range. Then I sent it to a word list (in the new dynamic toolbar) Then you can print and export that to a word or excel document for further editing.

You could run a morph search - use @v - and then switch to Analysis view.

Export the results to Excel and you should get a line for each verb - with the Greek term and the gloss in different columns. There will be a lot of other columns as well, but you could delete those.

I had never used export from the Concordance Tool - I typically use the method Graham posted. It is interesting as to why the export from the Concordance tool is limited to the two fields…. @Bradley Grainger (Logos) is there a reason that the English that is visible in the Concordance Tool results does not export?

Ahh thanks @Graham Criddle, I hadn't considered using the morph search. And thanks @Donovan Palmer, exporting to a word list cuts down on the extra content when I export.

This is a helpful work around for now, but I'd still be keen for some modification of the concordance tool or word list document.

Add the option to 'Save as Word List' the results of a concordance search.
The option to create and refine word lists according to parts of speech.

I have struggled to make the Concordance tool work in my study flows and usually wind up setting up searches, which 95% are while I am in the text and therefore in-line. Maybe over Christmas I should pull out the Concordance tool and give it a bit of a whirl again.

I think it's a helpful tool, but just needs a bit more functionality and integration with the rest of the logos application. The advantage of it over the search tool is its simplicity - it's a slimmed down version of the morph search for example without all the complexity of the search tool. Less overwhelming as well, which is probably why I have gravitated to it.
