Type in a Bible reference to navigate to it

What happened to the navigation functionality within a book?
Pleaser restore former functionality where user is able to type a reference.

Some others comments address this update problem, yet no answer is as simple as the original functionality!!! That in itself is also a problem:

I wish to just go directly to a particular verse when entering it into the field at the top of an open Bible page. NOT going via: OT/NT, Book, Chapter, Verse.
Who on earth decided that cumbersome approach?!

I’ve used Logos since 1994 and while I love the Mobile App, this Upgrade is A massive downgrade in this respect

Hello! A short time ago the Logos app was updated and the bible button that pulls up the books of the bible was switched in location with the search icon that lets you type a reference in directly.

Previously you could easily tap on the whole reference in the toolbar to type it a new reference, but now you have to tap on the little search icon. It is really tripping me up. I’ve tried to get used to it and reprogram my mind to tap on the search icon, but it’s a much smaller hit box than it used to be and has been a terrible experience.

Please can we switch it back, or at least add an option to switch it back? It makes no sense to me to tap the search icon to edit the text in the reference text box. When you want to edit the text it a text box, you tap on that text.

In fact, I'd be fine removing the bible button altogether. I never use the reference page at all as it is much, much, MUCH slower than just typing in a few letters and the reference. Scanning a matrix of 66 buttons, followed by tens or even a hundred or more buttons for the chapter, then again tens or a hundred or more buttons for the verse is painfully slow compared with typing 5-10 characters to go directly where I need to go. The reference page is PAINFULLY slow.

You don’t tap on another button to edit the text in a text box. You tap that text to edit the text. You guys missed it with this one.

I was confused by this for a while as well, though I eventually figured it out. I assumed the goal was to move us toward using the picker, perhaps because it is more efficient than typing references. I've been trying that method for a while, and I'm still getting used to it. If it were to switch back, I'd maybe just swap the location of the two functions now: tapping the text edits the text, while replacing the magnifying glass icon with a picker icon to make that a button. But it's nice to have both in the navigation. I'm still waiting to see if I'll start liking the picker better than typing a reference.
