Quoting part of a previous post in Logos forum

In the old FL forums you could select a portion of a previous post to include within your post. This was helpful to highlight just the portion of the comment that I wanted to discuss.

Is there any way to select just a portion of post to include in your response?

To select your text and turn it into a quote using the text editor to the left of the comment box may be the simplest of ways, @Harry Hahne.

True! Great idea, though the OP likely would receive a notification given they started the thread themselves? Does that sound right, @Antony Brennan?

While the quote function in the Text Editor is functional, it's still lacking in comparison to our old quote function. With the Old Forums, we were able to select just the portion of the quote we were responding to and it would include the Name of who we were quoting.

Here, we either quote the whole post or use the Text Editor Quote and the tag

They certainly are different methods of quoting. The forthcoming update on conversations should be a dramatic improvement across the board. Thankful for your dialogue around threaded discussions and quotations.
