Greetings. For our in house view of our Proclaim presentations we use Birddog receivers connected directly to our projectors to capture an NDI output from Proclaim. Since the beginning of this setup we have had an issue that I still can't find a solution to. Whenever we play a video or use a motion background, the NDI output from Proclaim seems to be wonky/unstable. The receivers have trouble determining the output specs (e.g. 720p 60fps.). Our projectors can't seem to figure out what to do and give us a "frequency out of range" error.
Oddly, if we pick up the Proclaim NDI signal in vMix or OBS and have our Birddogs/Projectors pick up the NDI out from those programs, there is no problem at all. I think what's essentially happening is that OBS and vMix render a stable/constant NDI output, regardless of what it's outputting. Let me state it this way: If my projectors are picking up an NDI signal from my vMix screen, and my vMix screen is displaying the NDI signal from Proclaim, everything is fine. Whether I'm playing a video, a slide, or a blank screen, vMix is outputting a constant NDI signal out, whereas, Proclaim seems to vary its NDI signal depending on the content being shown, and that throws the projectors off.
Does this make sense? I really can't figure out a solution. The reason running it through vMix or OBS is not really a solution is because it introduces too much delay.
