How do I have a similar quick function for original word meaning like Olive tree app's?
Hi all,
I'm trying to transition from the Olive Tree Bible mobile app, which I've used for many years. One of my favourite functions in the ESV with Strong's is to click on a word and quickly see its dictionary meaning in the original language and also see the root words that make up the word. I can see the info within seconds of clicking in Olive Tree, but on Logos, I'm struggling to do the same thing. I'll appreciate advice on how to do this effectively on the Mobile app, thank you.
Step 1: On Olive tree app I tap "Son" and the below window appears showing monogenes.
Step 2: I tap the green numbers "3441" and it opens Strong's Enhanced showing monos. This quickly helps me to understand the root words which lead to the monogenes.

Try “long-pressing” (press and hold) a word which will give you a popup menu like this
Tap the “Word Info” option to give you some basic information about the word
From here, you can either tap Open to get access to your highest prioritised lectionary (you could specify Strongs if you wish)
Or tap the three dots icon (in the previous screenshot) and select the Bible Word Study option (or tap it in the screenshot above) to get access to all of your lexicons on the word along with other information

You can hunt for a toolbar embedded somewhere at the top of your current window, although it's hard to know where that window/pane/whatever is. Let's assume you find it: then paw through any likely-looking options on the menu bar (if you have figured out what and where that is) which might be Formatting | View | Tools. Beware though because you might have a "secondary" tool bar activated. I can't tell from here if you do, but you probably can't tell from there if you do either. I would eventually settle on View because I have gone hunting so very many times. Click on that a time or two until yet another toolbar of sorts pops up below. Look for interlinear and click on that. Turn on the option to look at the interlinear that you just clicked on to look at. Mill around turning on/off all kinds of things that you may or may not know what they are. It doesn't really matter though, except when it does. Tons of foreign language stuff will pop up inline with your text, or at the bottom in yet another pane, or both. Look in amazement and don't try to fix anything or you might make it worse. If you are lucky (aka blessed) and Strongs appears at the bottom you can hover or click again on some arrangement of letters and numbers . Hover is better as click may create chaos of more windows opening in unexpected places. Hopefully you will find what you want—just like Olive Tree!

On Desktop you have a plethora of options. One option would be to read a Bible with the information tool open (search: "information" in Tools). Word Info will be displayed in the information sidebar for any word that you click on (for this option, it would be best to turn off factbook tags under formatting).
Another option would be to right-click a word. This alone will tell you a lot about the word, but if you want to know more you can select its lemma. From here you would be able to select Bible Word Study from the right-hand menu.
Also, simply hovering over a word will display information about that word in the bottom left corner of the panel:
