I have been watching this set for some time now and have never seen it sale. Does anyone know if it does go on sale. https://www.logos.com/product/263067/baker-exegetical-commentary-on-the-new-testament-becnt?queryId=daad1ea3e0dc7c67d0a697e5e58034dd
Occasionally.
The sad part is that it used to be part of Logos 4 Platinum Base Package, but at the request of Baker Logos had to remove that along with other Baker resources included in that lineup. BECNT very seldom goes on sale, at least at a huge discount. Great set!
@DAL if this is the case then it seems this is one set then I will need to collect in physical copy form and might also work out little bit cheaper.
@Lukas Give the sales team a call, they might be able to offer you at least a 30% discount. It wouldn’t hurt to try.
I can recall it going on sale within the last two years. I was waiting for a while, too. Thus, when it went on sale, I bought it almost instantaneously. I hope it will come up again for you.
I have 8 of them, and since I never pay full price for an expensive commentary, these volumes must have either been on sale (maybe 50% daily deal?) or part of a library I bought. So there's still hope!
I always watch the daily deals because there are often really good resources.
@Roger Pitot what daily deals are you talking about. I only know of the sales they have once a month.
Logos post a daily deal on Twitter/Facebook, although you can also subscribe to get an email instead.
I don't recall volumes in this set ever being a daily deal, they have occasionally been part of the Best Commentaries sale.
@Paul Caneparo how do I subscribe to get email. I don't make use of Facebook/Twitter.
To subscribe to the daily email, go to your account on Logos, select email lists on the left and under Additional English email subscriptions I'd like to join: tick Daily Deals. Well worth getting!
8 volumes were part of the Logos 4 Platinum BP. If you bought it you kept it despite the volumes being removed at the publisher’s request a few weeks after L4 launched.
For a number of years, BECNT, like clockwork, would go on sale every December at 40% off. In 2023 they did a flash sale over the summer where it was 55% off instead of the December sale. I don't think it's gone on sale again since.
So, BECNT is $617 in Accordance, $780 in OliveTree, and $983 in Logos. All are "sale" prices and all have the same number of volumes. I wonder if Logos would price-match the competition if you called them.
@Mark Allison Logos does not they say, as there’s is Logos Edition where the others are not optimized as the logos version.
Why are these still shown as Prepubs, look at the ship dates!?
Two questions: I own the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible New Testament in Logos, but if you search on verbum.com or logos.com for Ignatius Catholic Study Bible or "Ignatius Catholic Study Bible", it does not show up - why? And maybe the answer is, because now, Ignatius Press has completed the study bible and it now includes…
I am having trouble understanding what the criteria is for Type:Study Guide. I used to think they had to have questions with answer boxes, or a question section after each chapter, or a study questions section at the end with the appendix. And then there are Companion Guides for a seperate book. I've run across several now…
Verbum displays it some way, but the link isn't working:
I just started reading Schreiner's commentary on Revelation today. I've noticed that the Greek text and transliterations are not tagged with pop-up definitions (compare to Osborne in the BECNT and multiple other commentaries in different series). Has Logos cut back on the tagging or is this an aberration?
