Bug?? Help... I don't understand this behavior!

Ok, I'm in my trusty ole NKJV, you know, the one the apostles carried around in the hip pocket of their Levis (LOL 😁), and I click on Search (one the dynamic tool bar), a box opens up and I type in "Pastor" and sure enough, Ephesians 4:11 comes up (as that is the only place in the NKJV that has the word "Pastor" in it). So far so good.

Now, I want to go back to my NKJV and continue on. But, I can't get out of the Search I did. I click on the Search box and some words come up "Active: Ephesians 4:11".

The only way I found, so far, is to close my bible and open it again???? Which doesn't seem like a good behavior to me. I would think the Search box would have an "x" in it to cancel the Search and go back to the bible, but I can't find it.

Where am I going wrong?

What I usually do to end an active search is run an empty search by deleting the words of the search and hitting enter.

I would think the Search box would have an "x" in it to cancel the Search

You get what you are showing if you erase the search string

Try entering some text in the search box and the "x" will appear

Thanks, I tried that too, but mine doesn't work that way I guess because it didn't work for me.

I tried that, but when I hit return, Ephesians 4:11 comes back in the Search box. How can my version be so weird? LOL

Edit: I also re-booted Logos…. still have same problem. ug!

I'm not quite following your description. Please type some text in the search box and post a screenshot before pressing Return

I don't know what happened, but now I have an "x" and it's working. I'm bewildered.
