Auto open devotional to today's date

I bought a devotional, Streams in the Desert, and when I first opened it, it opened to the dsys date-- April 13. I thought that was a great feature, so I saved the layout and named it 'Devotional'. Unfortunately, every time I open this saved layout, the Streams in the Desert devotional opens to April 13.

How can I get Streams in the Desert to automatically open to the current day's date every time?

    2. hover over daily devotional to see check mark on right
    3. click on check mark and select restore default layout
    4. Modify the default layout to meet your needs
    5. Save current layout

    Y'all don't know the answer do y'all?

    Shoud I tag a FL employee or something? If so, how? I would prefer to leave them alone though. They gotta work on that AI and resouurce launching stuff.

    Actually, I know the answer but didn't see the original question. You need to start with the QuickStart Layout for Daily Devotional, replacing the daily devotional it has built in with Streams in the Desert. Save it. This layout has the automatic match date feature built in.

    Well, I did what you said and it worked great at first. Thank you for that. But now it's stuck on Jan 3!

    Any ideas what I did wrong? I just know I removed the default devotional and added Streams in the Desert and then did the right click and 'Save layout as current' in Layouts.

    You can't remove the default devotional - that layout contains the logic for today's date. You update it to reflect the devotional of your choice and other modifications.

    Just to be sure by "Save current layout" you mean right click 'Daily Devotional' and selecting 'Update layout as current'?

    Well, you were right about everything except one thing: when opening up the Daily Devotional quick start, it still does not open up to the new day's date. Mine is currently stuck on Jan 8. On this point, I would like to tag a FL employee. Can someone tag them for me?

    However, after I open DD quickstart up and it is on Jan 8, I have foound a quick way to get it to the correct day. Simply press the [End] key then the [Home] key. Correct day! Very quirky and unintuitive.

    So about that FL employee...
