Make citations to old editions of resources link to new editions as well

I own the new edition of many commentaries of which I do not own the older edition. However, when other commentaries reference those commentaries, they often cite the old edition. Currently, this means that the cross reference feature does not work unless I also own the old edition. I know there are complications such as page numbers changing, but if there was a to make those cross references link to new editions that would be wonderful. It doesn't seem reasonable to have to buy old editions of works just to make the Logos feature I use most useable.

I have this issue repeatedly with Mobile Ed courses. There are many links to, for example, IVP's Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels in courses. The link is almost always to the first edition of DJG and Logos gives me a link to purchase the older edition. I have purchased in Logos the new second edition. I own a physical copy of the first edition. If there could be some way to have key resources like this have links to both older and newer versions it would be very helpful, for commentaries, dictionaries, etc. It seems strange to have purchased through Logos a newer (and more expensive) version, but the only links in most courses are to the older editions. Can we have an answer about whether this is do-able?

This has been requested in various forms different times. There is nothing to ensure that a new edition has the same index headings and page numbers so it would require manual effort. Plus the new text may not make the point the teacher chose the reading for.
