rename tabs

I think this is a great idea, especially for search panel tabs. For me, I usually know what resource a tab is for but not always and I have to mouse over it to refresh my memory; however, mousing over the many search tabs I have open only says “search” for each one, which does not help (the tab already says search) – it takes a click to see which search it is. Being able to rename “Search-Tabs” would help a lot. There may be other tools that need this ability also.0

Bumping this. This would be a really great help for users moving from Accordance.0

Yes, PLEASE!!0

Inability to rename tabs is driving me mad… would really tighten my workflow. Example: i have several search tabs set up for different functions, but they all live with the name "search". Loved this feature in Accordance.

Completely agree. It would help with complex layouts. I am sure it is not super simple to code, but it is a simple concept that would be powerful and a real value add for researchers.

+1 to rename tabs.
I have a study going that branches out to subsections that I'm keeping in another tab so I don't lose my place in the parent section. Please tell me which is which at first glance.Ya I don't know either. It's a mystery to both of us. ¯\(°_o)/¯

You can "rename" them now by providing an appropriate short title:
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Yes thank you. But what is requested is for circumstantial, temporary renaming. At least my request is.

I find it important to know what I can do now to avoid being frustrated waiting for a change that may or may not come at some unknown future time. It is equally important to be persistent in reminding Logos of what you would prefer and see if others agree based on the votes you can gather.
