Searching results vs. Factbook results from books in my library problem

So I am not sure how "Books from your Library" section in Factbook works?

I have done some Factbook searches that show no results in that section, yet there are lots of results in my library. I am thinking I don't understand what this Factbook section is meant to display?

Example: Using "Macedonia" the place…..

Imagine reading about Macedonia in Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary…

And then, either bring up Factbook and type 'Macedonia', or right-click on the headword in the Dictionary, choose Macedonia-topic on the left, and click Factbook on the right - they go to the same place.

Hmm. No books in my library have 'Macedonia'? Sounds odd. So, I do a precise search, on place:Macedonia -

Yep, LOTS of results! What if I do a smart search on the word 'Macedonia'?

There appear to be lots of results there too.

So, why are there no book results from my library for 'Macedonia' in the Factbook? I tried other headwords too with similar results. There must be something I don't understand…

Thanks!

The library section of Factbook contains a curated list of books that are primarily about the topic not simply have a small section about. I would not expect to see any but very specialized dictionaries to ever appear.

Hmm. So, I found this example, do a search on 'Rome' in Factbook. It has a lot of Book results, and to me, while a number have Rome in the title and/or appear they might be about some facet of Rome, many do not look like books primarily on the topic of Rome - nor is Rome even in their title. I wonder why that example shows up with books, do you see an explanation?

I see a couple that I suspect are error but the rest all look like Roman history to me, much even written by Romans. Were you expecting to see Rome as a city vs. Rome as an empire?

Lesson learned - if the 'new era' AI-Logos thinks broadly in response, we better think broadly in what we are asking!

Yes I was expecting Rome as a place not the empire. I thought there might be something I wasn't thinking about correctly. I need to ensure I am aware of all permutations, as the factbook may take any and all paths as a possible source of info for me I guess!

As others have said, the "Books from your Library" section will only contain books that are primarily about Macedonia. Books that touch on Macedonia but are primarily about other subjects would not be included.

I do agree that the results for Rome seem to be broader than one would expect. I'll see if I can find out why.

You can also see this tagging in the library. You can open the left filter sidebar and filter by a particular Factbook topic (you should get the same results as you would in Factbook). Or you ocan pen the right information sidebar and see which tags are applied to each book.
