Inconsistent search results in library

As can be seen from the attached screenshots, search results in the library are quite inconsistent when searching for books by EM Bounds. It probably isn’t helped by the inconsistent metadata too.

Without using any qualifiers, the search terms are applied to all of the metadata associated with the books which is why some of them are matching.
I recommend using the string author:bounds

Thanks Graham, I understand that. However the results seems wrong, if you compare the search in screenshots 1 and 3, E.M. occurs in all 4 of the EM Bounds books but only the third search produces it, whereas I think the first should also produce all four books. If you run the same search on the desktop version, all four books appear when searching for bounds E.M.:0 -

Thanks for the mention, @Paul M! Reviewing your screenshots and this thread, it looks like the note from @Graham Criddle would be best to address this. "Bounds" or "bounds E.M." would get you close, but it is simply searching your library for those terms, and not that particular author.
The most accurate would be to use a search qualifier as he mentioned (author:bounds) or to use the built-in search filter options to limit the particular author. I will attach a screenshot of the second option to demonstrate.

Aside from this helpful advice, is Logos going to address the inconsistent metadata? This is the same author but Logos has Bounds, E. M. and E. M. Bounds. For the sake of consistency, the name metadata should be written as 'last name, first name'.
(I suddenly cannot @ anyone, anymore. I can select the name I want, but nothing happens when I click on the name.)

I'll tag this a bug so that our team can review updating the data for books by E.M. Bounds when they have a moment to do so.
@Yasmin Stephen, what browser are you using? I am not having an issue with that feature in Chrome or Brave on desktop computer.Sr. Community Manager at Logos.

I'm using Chrome, but I just checked now and the feature is working no, so maybe it's an intermittent thing.

Thanks for the replies, is the inconsistency in searching only as a result of incorrect metadata or is there an underlying bug?

@Paul M @Yasmin Stephen We have merged the two separate metadata entries for this author. Effective immediately you should see better results when searching for works by this author.
If you notice other authors with multiple filters in Library, feel free to start a new thread for that situation, or email cs@logos.com.

Thank you. It's all consistent now.
