I've been using Logos for 25 years and somehow missed the L4 link abilities and never learned it. Now with the move to rf.ly, I want to understand it.

How do I use it and what are some examples of its use?

When can it be used and when can it not?

I can't seem to find what I am looking for in the help manual in Logos. If there is something you can point me to or answer here, I would be grateful.

I primarily use refly links in my notes for quick reference.

Can you give me a real-use example? I am not finding it in my left-click context menu.

Does it not work in books or Bibles?

    Sorry I am so confused!

No problem! It should work in both books and Bibles. You can copy a refly link that will bring you to a specific location within a resource. This is done by clicking ShareCopy link. Once copied, you can insert that link, for example as I have done, into a note.

One more question for anyone: Are notes the only place you would put a link like that?

Ref.ly links come in handy any time having a link to a specific location within a resource would be helpful.

Perhaps one is in a Bible or book study group. One could use a ref.ly link while engaging in online discussion. People very commonly also use them in external applications.

I tried making links in Sermon Builder but looks like it does not work there unless I am missing something.

I tried the same and arrived at the same conclusion. However, it's always possible this functionality will be added in the future (you could make a feature request if it's important to you).

What I really need to do is become more adept at using the Notes tool, especially having notes connected to a sermon.
