Best Practices for Requesting a Book in Logos
When requesting a book for us to license, here are a few helpful elements that will help us process your request.
- One title per request/post. A one-to-one correspondence between your request and our internal database where we are attempting to license the title helps us manage these requests more efficiently. A long list of titles can be a bit overwhelming.
- Title
- Author
- ISBN. Not absolutely essential but helpful when there are multiple editions. In most cases, we want the newest edition.
- External link to either publisher or Amazon page.
- Comments. Totally optional, but feel free to make your case as to why you think this book would be of benefit to Logos users.

Question, on some older posts on other parts of the forum (eg Logos/Verbum Help) we have both single and multiple requests under the same post. Some of them also have multiple titles in the post. Can those be duplicated under the Book Suggestion area under one title per request?

@Keith it's up to you. I know we have a huge backlog of requests to go through. We're currently in the process of hiring another team member in publisher relations that will help with that. Our goal is to respond to every title that has been requested, but it's a large task. If you want to give new attention to a title, you can always tag me in an older post.

That sounds very kind and generous, @Rick Mansfield (Logos). Is that valid for all forum users? And, in particular, would that apply also to requests for titles in German language?

I meant it for all forum users, even German language :-)
Just realize that we're slower than we would like to be in responding right now. I'm hopeful that we can be more responsive in due time.
