NEW: Smart Bible Search

Where named on a Map, Scythopolis is sometimes accompanied by Beth-shan in parentheses, and is recognised as a variation of Beth-shan in AYBD. But Beth-shean is recognised as an alternative in other Bible Dictionaries.
The Place datatype is only recognised for Beth-shan (or Bet-Schean in your language UI).
See my post post about the treatment of the names.

It's crossed our minds, too 😁. Nothing's imminent, but it's a natural extension of the technology.

Smart Bible Search is very good and useful, thank you Logos again! I did the following two searches:
- God tells people the time has not yet come
- People tell God the time has not yet come
Beautiful!

I love Bible Smart Search and Smart Search. These two new smart searches provide an easy button for utilizing logos and tapping into our extensive libraries.
For example, when starting a Bible Study on a book (like 1 John) you can ask Smart Search questions about the background, historical context, culture, author, and more and get AI summarized insights from your library with links back to the resources. You can also ask smart search who, what, when, where, and why questions of the text to help interpret the passage. Then you can ask the bible smart search questions related to important parallel passages or cross references, other passages the talk about similar themes or doctrinal topics, etc.
These AI features provide an "easy button" for the software and make it much more enjoyable to use.
The data sets and links you have created in the past that power precise search are amazing. And smart search has made it all even better. Thank you!

I agree its usefulness has continued to increase and therefore I am going through my AI credits faster than I did last year when Smart Search for books was launched.
I am hopeful that Logos will eventually have a more interactive tool, maybe similar to Perplexity, that shows me resources in my library but will also allow me to ask followup questions.

I'm loving this new feature. What an excellent improvement that should keep people from using Google rather than Logos Bible search.
Using adventure and community to challenge young people to continually say "yes" to God

Would love smart search results to be filtered through our passage lists. For example I created a passage list on creation verses in the Bible. I can ask the inquiry to filer results through my passage list only.

This ability is presently in beta testing. We're likely to see it in the next update to the stable version (41). As a workaround, you can select all the verses (CTRL-A), start a new passage list, and use Add passage from: … clipboard (upper left in Add option).

Wellll…. I took some time today and played with Smart Search… Gotta say, I love it!! Because of this Smart Search, Logos has become a bible software above all rivals. The Search is that good.
Great work to the Logos Team!! Love it! Love it! Love it! 😎
