Highlights - Segregation and selection.

'FEATURES' REQUEST … REGARDING HIGHLIGHTS:

After reading a book and highlighting texts / passages from a book, at a later point in time, one may wish to read only highlighted portions and notes (perhaps to get a recall of what is important without having to painfully scroll through the entire book).

This is possible now by scrolling through after using a notes filter and highlight selection at the menu.

However:

(1) Segregation of HIGHLIGHT TYPES within a book is not possible presently.

(2) Only ‘Popular highlights’, are NOT DISPLAYED at all using the notes filter, etc.

(3) Individual highlights do show up using the ''Notes filer>highlight' selection, BUT without the ability to NAVIGATE THROUGH TEXT USING ONLY arrow keys.

The suggestions above are further explained here below:

(1) Selection of particular highlight types only for viewing in a selected book.

This is useful when large chucks within tomes have been either highlighted by pen and/or colour-coded.

With this feature request, one may pick out a particular colour and observe all such markings in a particular book.

This facility enables, memorisation, referencing for particular reasons, as academic work being quoted verbatim, etc.

(2) Enable LOGOS highlights (popular highlights) to be displayed via the ‘notes / notes Filter / highlights tool also.

There is no possibility of viewing only what users have popularly marked at the moment.

Viewing these may be a pretty good summary of what is remarkable in a book.

This feature is invaluable for noting trends, thoughts, and addressing issues while deciding what topics to preach, as an example of why this is needed.

There are other reasons too but elaborating upon those needs will make the suggestion too long.

(3) Using arrow keys in highlights to navigate.

At present, by selecting the highlights (after using the Notes tool, filter, etc.) we are unable to use arrow keys to view highlights as individual texts or notes.

Can we be provided with a facility t navigate through text by using arrow keys, (up or down), to view the highlights?  This will enable one to view the highlight in context easily.

These may or may not be ‘minor’ fixes / facilities to program.

But they do go to make LOGOS unmatchable in terms of features … simple small add in features, that will go a long way.

Blessings,

In Christ Jesus,

Tony.

Reasons why that feature will help:

This would be a greatly useful feature because it would be of benefit for future Quick Looks of created as 'Key points' of a book, summary preps., important references, looking up great quotes of a book, noting occurrences and locations of 'key themes', making further additional annotations, review of important citations and created cross-references, notes, etc.

Theis applies to both 'Personal Highlights' in a book as well as to 'Popular Highlights'.

It kind of functions a bit like the Factbiik tags but being personalised and segregated and individually scrollable using arrow keys, will be more efficient.

    @Jason Stone (Logos)

Perhaps you might consider the above?

I should have tagged you earlier. I hope that you are the one who looks at the 'features' request. Else, sincere apologies for tagging you.
