parallel books in one layout carry over to another

I'm having a very minor, but annoying issue with using layouts.

Let's say that I open by bible by clicking on the bible icon, then decide to add one or two parallel books.

Then I close all panels. Then open a custom saved layout that is a bible-in-a-year reading plan.

The issue I'm having is that what I just closed out of also opens in the custom layout.

Is there any way to fix this without having to restart logos? I can always uncheck the parallel books in the one panel but I feel it should open exactly to how I have it saved.

I don't have a good answer.

I use maybe 4 multiviews in my big layout. One of them uses NRSV as the lead for my targums.

Closed my big layout (keeping app open)
Opened NRSV: reflected targums attached
Closed NRSV multiview: show only NRSV
Closed Verbum
Opened Verbum
Opened NRSV: multiview is off as last used
Opened big layout
NRSV multiview is opened showing targums

That's been my experience for years (I'm a multiview-aholic). Layouts save the multiview setting.

I'm on 43.0.377; had to update when they changed book formatting in the user title field (library sorts went wonky).

I suppose could be layouts no longer save MV state. I'll have to watch it. The Text Comparison is also tricky.

Change the defaults on opening a book?
Is there a way to change the default "view" and "formatting" settings when opening a book? I'd like to have "popular highlights" always turned off and "paged view" always turned on. I'm sure someone else must have asked this question before, but I searched and had no luck… Thank you!
